I glanced across at the clock sitting on my makeshift bedside table, 30 more minutes till I could call a cab to go to the concert.

Time was going by so slowly.

I was all made up and in the same shorts as before (no one will notice...) but a different, tie dye, top. I picked at the seams impatiently. It was a really nice top, lots of bright colours: pink, yellow, green, blue.

I looked back at the clock 20 minutes. I sighed and picked up my guitar that was leaning against the wall and started strumming a few notes. I had started playing the guitar at 15, I wasn't very good, but good enough to write simple songs on it. I had taught myself.

By the time I had played a few songs there where 10 minutes left.

Oh well, who cares if I'm early.

I grabbed my bag, phone and money and ran out of the door, down the corridor and outside. I hailed a cab pretty quickly and jumped in telling the driver where I wanted to go. The weather was nice outside, unusually sunny for England.

The cab stopped.

"Can't go no further miss" the driver said in a distinctively cockney accent.

"Why?" Great I'm going to be late.

"Road's closed" he pointed his chubby finger forward to some road works.

I sighed and paid him the extortionate amount of money it costs to get a cab virtually two feet and climbed out.

Where the hell am I?

I recognise it, I just have to go down this road, I think... I started walking, but suddenly the heavens opened and I was drowning in water. Great. I looked frantically from side to side for cover, an alley loomed out of nowhere, providing suitable cover. I turned and walked down it. It was dingy and smelled like piss. I held my breathe, I could see the street light coming from the other street that I wanted to get onto. I started to get edgy, I really don't like London sometimes.

I suddenly heard a scuttle behind me.

I whipped found to see a man standing behind me.

"Shouldn't be walking down these alleys this time of day darling. Could get lost." he flicked his tongue at me.

"Thank you, Sir." I said backing up. Only to walk into the wall.

Another man appeared, older and far uglier than the first.

"Where you going sweetie?"

I ignored them and walked as fast away as I could from them, and didn't stop walking until I decided I had lost them. I swear I could hear them laughing.

Hilarious.

And now I'm lost and kinda shaken up.
