Writers are weird.
You make faces at the wall, as you describe something.
You sometimes know more about characters than the characters know about themselves.
You travel all around the world and sometimes out of this world to other planets and universes all through your fingertips to a keyboard (or pen to paper... Your preference).
The characters you created often take control of your story, making it not really yours anymore. When they take you on crazy adventures you never dreamed of, you'll soon realize, "I'm not writing this anymore. I'm telling it."
Other times, the imaginary people you call friends stop talking to you. This is usually what writers would call writer's block.
And that, my friend, is when this happens...
Sibling: What are you doing?
You: I'm writing.
Sibling: You're staring at a blank screen.
You: Like I said, I'm writing.
Yes, it all happens in your mind and you have to share the story to the world or this will disappear.
And that's a day in the life of a writer. Then the next day. And the day after that. The procrastinating part of you gets real during this time.
Writing is somewhere between torture and fun.
But that's okay. I'm proud to be in this crazy group of people called, "Writers".
We've established were weird. But are we psychopaths?? Maybe. Who knows?
