What We Did Today

We went to a police station today. My 8-year-old nephew wanted to get a tour, because he'd already gone to a fire station with the cub scouts.

When my older sister asked my younger sister and I if we'd want to do that, I was thrilled! I've had a few tours already, but I'm always up for another one. :) Besides it being cute and just plain fun, I could also leave a stack of my business cards. (I left 40.)

The station wasn't in my hometown, but I really enjoyed it

The station wasn't in my hometown, but I really enjoyed it. From seeing all of the equipment, I'd say they were funded pretty well. It's good because it's a little bigger city than where I'm from.

The Sgt., who was giving us the tour, gave us "Stay alive. Don't text and drive" bracelets as you can see in this picture...

That other thin blue line paracord bracelet is something I try to wear everyday even if I'm not going anywhere

He also offered us all suckers my nephew didn't take one, but my sister and I did. Lol

My big sister asked my 8-year-old nephew if he wanted to get a car wash or get snickerdoodle cookies.

He said...

"Car wash."

I was like, "I would say yes to cookies any day." 🍪😋

Can you believe that?? A kid saying no to both a sucker and cookies? 😂😂

Then when we went to get a car wash, look at this... I've never seen this kind of soap before. Have you?

 Have you?

Anyways, that's about it. Well, except for...

I can almost totally walk now!! 🎉🎉

I can put almost all my weight on my bad leg, maybe 90% or so. Should be walking normally soon. Just a really slow process.
