I snuggle deeper into my blankets, savoring the warmth before I have to get ready for hell, aka school. Sure, I get good grades and all of my teachers like me, (well most of them), but that doesn't mean I like school. The only good part about school is that I get to spend time with my friends, (and pranks).
"Ava! Get you ass up before I have to get it up for you!!" My brother, Luca, yells while pounding on my door. Luca is my twin brother, and older than me by a whole 12 minutes. Yeah, lets just say I did not want to leave the womb.
You would think I'm the good sister and Luca is the bad one, but it's the other way around. Luca is the golden child, never getting into trouble, never had a detention, never grounded, the perfect child. And then there's me, the wild child who's always getting into trouble, always in detention, always grounded, the not perfect child. Hence why he is the one waking me up and not the other way around.
I groan into my pillow, really not wanting to get up, especially on the first day of school. But if I don't get up, I know my brother will do something I would most likely regret (he's done it before). I drag myself out of bed, and into my bathroom.
I look into the mirror, and jump back, scared of the sight infront of me. My striking red hair, which my brother and I get from our father, looks like a wild animal made a nest in it and hibernated, and I wouldn't be surprised if one did.
I don't even bother trying to brush it, and just strip and hop in the shower. I let the warm water flow over my tired muscles, and let it wake me up. I wash my body with my favorite shea butter soap, and do all the other things I need to do. Next I practically use an entire bottle of shampoo and conditioner in attempt to tame the beast I call hair.
I lather my hair up, making sure to get the roots, and wash it out. I do the same with the conditioner. Once my hair doesn't seem like a lion's mane any more, I turn the water off, and hop out. I wrap a fluffy white towel around my body and my hair.
