Geo
Luca leads me into his house, and as soon as I step in, her scent hits me like a freight train.
My beast and I take in a deep breathe, memorizing the alluring scent of our mate. The mix of vanilla, jasmine, and smoke, not like cigarette smoke, but campfire smoke. It's an odd, yet amazing mix. I still don't know how I controlled myself during dinner and during school today. All through it, my wolf was scratching at the back of my mind, wanting his mate. It was very annoying.
Ava, the beautiful red haired goddess, is my mate. It still feels so weird, that my father's Beta's daughter is my mate. I sigh, knowing that this is going to be hard. According to Luca, she never shifted so her parents never told her about the supernatural world to protect her.
I continue following Luca down the hall, and into the kitchen. He walks over to the fridge, and pulls out a water bottle.
"Want one?" He asks over his shoulder. I shake my head, and take a seat at the island in the center of the room. He closes the door, and comes to stand on the other side of the counter infront of me.
"I know you're my sister's mate," Luca says taking a sip of his water. My head snaps up, my eyes landing on his smirking figure. The smirk grows on his face when he sees my shock filled eyes.
"It's not that hard to tell. The fact that you got all of your classes switched to the ones she's in, and I can feel it in your wolf." I sigh, knowing I was going to tell her family sooner or later. But if Luca can feel it, then they most likely do to.
"I know, it's just going to be hard to tell her because she doesn't know about us," I say with a frustrated sigh. He nods. "I know. It's so frustrating sometimes trying to cover up and try and hide things from her. If I had it my way I would have told her already." Luca says, frustration swirling in his eyes.
I nod agreeing. If they told her, this would be a lot easier. But it seems like the Moon Goddess is trying to make my life even more challenging.
"How am I supposed to tell her? Hell, I don't even think she likes that much. We're partners for a project in one of our classes, and it felt like she wanted to murder me," I breathe out. My beast and I don't like how our mate is acting, but it's understandable.
"My sister can be... difficult at times. She's the rebel in the family. Her and her friends are always getting into trouble. Just let her get used to you being back, and she'll come around eventually. We're having a bonfire this Friday, and I think you should come. It might help things between you two."
I let the idea mull over in my head. My beast is all for it. He will take any chance he can get to spend time with his mate. I soon agree with him. It's worth a shot. "Sounds like a good idea. Now I see why you're going to be my Beta," I say with a small smile. He smiles, and nods.
"Come on," Luca says pushing off of the counter. "I didn't just have you come over so we can talk about your mate problems," he says with a smirk. My beast growls in my head, but I push him back. I chuckle softly, and follow Luca into the living room.
Ava
I spent two hours up in my room, until I gave up on my stake out. I figured that if Geo stays late enough, my parents would like him to stay for dinner. So eventually, I'll have to see him.
I creep down the stairs, even though I can hear the two boys in the living room, most likely playing video games, I feel like I should creep around the house. I don't want to get caught by the two males. I walk carefully down the upstairs hall, and go around any of the squeaky boards.
You can tell I do a lot of sneaking by the way I know where the squeaky boards are.
When I get to the stairs, I look down to check if the coast is clear.
From the living room, you can directly see the stairs, so if one of them turns around, I'm caught.
I make my way down the stairs, again being careful of where I step. Once I make it down the stairs, I breathe a sigh of relief.
I make my way to the kitchen, and over to the cabinets. I reach up to the highest one, and reach my hand around. My hand grabs a cylinder container, and I take it out. In my hand is the most amazing thing ever known to man...
Dark chocolate covered pretzels.
I could literally live off of these things they're so good. Luca and I usually devour them as soon as they make it into the house, so I have my own stash in my room and down here. But since I'm out, I need to resort to my emergency stash.
I open the container, and stuff three into my mouth. I moan as the delicious gifts from heaven touch my taste buds. "I smell dark chocolate covered pretzels!" I hear Luca yell from the living room.
Shit.
I swear, Luca can smell these from a mile away. I quickly close the container, and hurriedly put it back into the cabinet. I turn around to see Luca coming into the kitchen, and his eyes instantly land on me.
"Where are they?" He demands. I try to give him a questioning look.
"Where is what?"
He walks around the counter and starts looking through all of the cabinets. "You know exactly what, now where are they? Mom hasn't had the pretzels in the house for months, and now they show up?" He questions while looking over his shoulder at me.
I keep my innocent facade strong, but I second guess myself. If I give them to him he might share, but if I keep them from him he will eat all of them at once. Decisions, decisions.
I sigh reluctantly, and turn around. I reach up to the high cabinet, and take out the container.
I turn around to Luca, and he looks like a kid waking up on Christmas to find all of the presents are for him. He reaches out to take them, but I jerk the container out of the way. "I will let you have some as long as you promise to share," I say with a hard stare.
We hold each other's gazes, until Luca blinks and looks down at the floor in defeat. A smirk graces its presence onto my face, and I hand over the container to Luca. He takes it greedily, and stuffs 5 pretzels into his mouth. He hops up onto the counter, and I sit next to him. I take a couple pretzels out of the container, and eat the things from heaven.
Geo walks down the hall and into the kitchen, only to stop and stare at us on the counter eating dark chocolate covered pretzels.
"What are you two doing?" He asks while walking around the counter, and over to the fridge. "Eating these little bits of heaven!" Luca says with his mouth full of food. I smack his shoulder. "Ow! What was that for?" Luca complains while rubbing his shoulder.
"That was for talking with your mouth full. Do you know how disgusting that is? And we're out of pretzels because of you," I say while glaring at him. He rolls his eyes. "At least I shared." Luca grumbles.
Geo just gives us a look like we're from a different planet. "You two are something else."
