I sat in the meeting that for the last month I knew was coming. At this point of my life I wasn't really interested in doing this, but I knew that I didn't have any say. I folded my arms and waited for him to speak.
"Gentleman. I want to stay I am very proud of your development since FCW to NXT to here as individual champions. So, I have talked with the big boss, and he's interested in bring you guys back as a stable for limited time. I know you all have branched off, but the fans have been asking for a Shield reunion." Hunter said.
I sighed, and I swear it was the loudest noise I could make because it cause Hunter to raise his eyebrows at me.
"Is there a problem Ambrose?" Hunter asked.
"Nah, I just don't see how this will benefit my career." I admitted. I knew that Seth or Roman would speak up.
"Hmm.. so if you don't do this. We will strip you of that title that you wear around your waist." Hunter, pointed at my belt that was on the table."
Seth nudged me, and shook his head. "Come on bro. I think it's a good idea, and hopefully it can take some of that heel heat off of Roman."
Roman? When did I started giving a fuck about a man, who smashed my ex, and was trying to ruin my relationship. I am thinking about Roman anymore, but I do whatever I need to do. "You're right Seth. So, what is the angle?"
"Your first new target is Brock Lesnar. We don't really have anything feud going on with him right now. Out of nowhere you all will attack him, and say you are avenging the prestige of the Universal title. It won't really be a feud. We will eventually have you going after tag teams. I think the Brock angle is perfect, since each of you have fought him. " Hunter explained.
Maybe this would work out this time. I wasn't going to really think about it too much. The rest of the meeting I tuned out. I walked out, and Roman said "Look, I am going through some real personal shit right now. Let's just do our best to work together."
"I ain't got an issue with you. We squashed in it Florida. It's over." I said.
"Cool.."
"Aww.. we're one big happy family!" Seth said, hugging us. I still didn't trust Roman, but I would do whatever I needed to get paid.
"Hey baby!" I heard a familiar voice in the background. I turned surprised to see my girlfriend, Naomi. She jumped in my arms, and wrapped her legs around me. I jumped up and down with her in my arms. We were lost in a kiss.
"Nay... what are you doing here?" I asked, super stoked to see her.
"I wanted to see you. Wait, what are you doing with them?" She said, looking around at Seth and Roman. She hopped out of my arms.
"Hey sis, we reunited as the Shield." Seth interjected. I could tell by the way her face dropped she wasn't happy about me working with Roman.
"Roman? How's Galina.. " Naomi laughed.
Roman clinched her jaw and said "She's good and we're good."
"Not what I heard.. are the twins even yours?" Naomi asked.
Whoa, I didn't even know what she was talking about. The twins aren't his. Oh shit, this was going to interested. "Bro, what?"
Roman was pissed now. "Don't start with me.. Trinity."
"Don't call me by my real name." Naomi got in his face, and I pulled her away. I couldn't have these two fights. I am glad we're not all on the same brand.
"Bae, let's go!" I yelled, and grabbed her arm. I pulled her close to me, and we walked away. "What the hell is that?"
"Tamina told me they were having trouble, but why didn't you tell me that the Shield got back together. "
"But, look it isn't like I like the guy. You know I didn't want to do it, but they were gonna strip my title. Don't trip baby... Everything I do is to benefit us. I always think about you baby. Don't worry." I smiled at her.
Naomi's POV
Two days later...
Dean and I spent all day making love. I couldn't get enough of him. I wanted these moments we had together to last forever. We were laying in our bed, just embracing each other. "I love you so much."
"I love you more..." Dean said, and I felt butterflies in my stomach. His words carried so much power and he meant so much to me. We have been rocking with each other for a year now, and all I can think about is the day he called me and literally saved me. I don't think he realizes how much he's changed me.
"Regardless of all the backstage drama and bullshit. I am never leaving your side. You can bet on that forever." I said, looking at him. "We really make each other better."
"The fact that you can see past my flaws that's all I need in life.. you're forever going to be mine." Dean kissed me, and pulled me close.
