Bonus Chapter 7: Baby Shower

Naomi's POV

Nattie did an amazing job decorating our house for the baby shower. All of our close friends and family is here to celebrate with us. I am so happy to share our love with everyone. I looked around as the food was being brought in. "Where is Seth?" I asked, he is the baby's godfather. He needs to be here.

"Girl, I told him he needed to be here. He's been acting weird since I gave him some real ass words." Nattie said.

I sighed. "Uh.. where is Dean?" I asked.

"I don't know. I haven't seen him in a while." Nattie said.

Dean needs to get his shit together. I need him right now. I went to the patio and saw him with Mojo drinking beers.

"Where the hell you been? It's so many people here. I feel overwhelmed."

"Nay, you know I don't like a lot of people here. So, I'm cooling right now." Dean said.

"Really?" I said.

"Babe, just relax. It's not that serious. You wanted all these people here, so you entertain them." Dean said.

I couldn't believe he was doing this to me. I'm six months pregnant and we've been planning this baby shower for months. Now, he's out here with Mojo getting drunk like he doesn't have a care in the world.

I walked back into the party and I saw Seth walk in.

"Hey Naomi.. Sorry I am late. I wouldn't miss it for the world."

Tears fell from my eyes. My emotions were getting the best of me. "Dean is being a dick towards me. I need him to step up and be here for me. He's out on the patio getting drunk." I said.

Seth placed my gift on the table and wrapped his arm with mine. "What do you need me to do?" Seth said.

"Make sure everything is set up for catering and make sure we have enough plates etc. Can you make a list of everyone who gave a gift, so I can send thank you letters." I said.

"I got you Naomi. Today is your big day. We can't have you crying messing up your makeup. Relax, I will handle everything you need me to. I got your back." Seth said, calming my nerves. I know we had our issues before, but I couldn't think him enough for stepping up today.

"Oh my goodness! Thank you so much." I said. I felt like I was running around too much. I needed to sit down. I went to the bathroom to fix my makeup. This was stressful, but having Nattie and Seth eliminate my stress.

Auntie Junie came up to me. "Where the hell is Jonathan? He's supposed to helping you!"

"He's out on the patio, but Seth helping me out."

"No, Dean needs to help out! I'll handle it." Auntie Junie said, walking off. Someone needs to get him straight.

I sat down with my friends to relax. Tj walked up to me and said "Hey Naomi, long time no see. Where is Nattie?" He asked.
