Things Change [Naruto AU]

Sasuke paced back and forth inside the small apartment that he was renting with his other teammates. They walked for a few days and were kept alert, this apartment was only going into use for the night then they would leave again. This time they had finally set out all of the scrolls and were reviewing the information. All three were disgusted and started to hate their previous village even more. Naruto leaned back against a wall and closed his eyes thinking. Sakura sat and continued to fiddle with her hands, occasionally squeezing her fist and glaring at the scrolls.

They had decided to read the scrolls together. Sasuke was resentful to give it up but gave in when Sakura and Naruto showed theirs. The news of what really happened during the nine tails attack was major. Accepting that Naruto held the beast was hard to do as well as knowing he was the son of the Minato Namikaze but the three managed.

The scroll Sakura had was shocking as well. Inside it described the role that the Haruno Clan had inside the village, this was mainly only for protection of the villagers except the clan decided to take some unnecessary actions lately. They planned and went through with attacks on Naruto and even contributed to lack of growth in Sakura. Meaning the girl could have become a lot stronger but her parents were holding her back. She felt very sorry for the boy her family targeted and did not regret leaving.

Sasuke revealed his scrolls which showed more insight on the standing of clans in the village. The Uchiha Clan was praised but not too long ago they apparently had secret plans to attack the village and take over. The scroll also told of the mission Danzo himself gave Itachi, one that he declined. Sasuke started to feel utter hatred for his family and the village. He started to brew a plan in his head.

"So Naruto, are we the Akatsuki now?" Sakura asked looking to the boy. He glanced back and nodded. It was a name that came to him on the spot but it fit perfectly with their new ideas.

"That's good, but won't we need more... members." Sasuke asked. Naruto nodded. To become fully functional they would need strong shinobi who shared their similar mindset.

"The chunin exams are due sometime, we should see which of our old classmates pass and approach them." He said thinking. Of course it would be sometime until the event is set up again. He sighed thinking of how they would figure this out.

"We should train until then." Sakura said. It was true, even though they lost their master that did not mean that they couldn't get stronger. Especially if they planned to go back to Konoha and recruit their old comrades.

They traveled all the way to the raining village seeking refuge, information of their treachery hadn't reached them yet, and they were accepted. When they found a place to stay they trained and pushed each other to the limits. In the months they stayed there Sasuke was using his Sharingan more and pushing its limits, Sakura was using her newly found chakra and controlling it, and Naruto started having more sessions with the fox beast and controlling the chakra given to him. Their teamwork skills had gotten greater and they adapted to each other's power. They had also gotten a lot stronger than before and started to look into other villages.

The Sand Village was definitely one that sparked interest, it also held a jinchuuriki who was the son of a kage as well. His siblings were talented too. 'Maybe they can be recruited after the chunin exams are over.' Naruto thought one day, having them would definitely make their forces stronger.
