Sasori watched the two ninja in front of him. He had destroyed his pupil's puppet but he felt that the battle was far from over. He also watched Kankuro's hand movements steadily and prepared for any attack. What happened next shocked him. Quickly Kankuro had used chakra strings on the other ninja and made her attack. For a spilt second it was as if the girl was truly fighting until he saw the strings. Skillfully he dodged and used his other weapons such as senbon that shot from his puppet. Kankuro had seen the puppet's moves from earlier and knew how to manipulate Sakura to avoid any hit.Sasori couldn't help but dodge and block attacks in awe. She moved with grace and precision. Every move made was for a purpose. He knew she was not in control and if he should be astounded by anyone it would be Kankuro but he would not give his student satisfaction in controlling another human being. It was unnatural. Sasori was finally able to land an attack. A single poisoned senbon imbedded deep in her right arm. Taking steps back to Kankuro she then pulled out a syringe. When she pulled out the senbon and replaced it with the needle, Sasori realized that it was the antidote.
Scowling he attacked again but aimed for Kankuro instead of the girl. She took a hit from the scorpion tale and was thrown down the hall with a cut on her face. The tail was also poisoned. Sasori had assumed that the girl did not have enough strength left to get up and attack or even another antidote. He was wrong both times. Sakura had given herself another dosage of the antidote and ran to Sasori. Without Kankuro controlling her Sakura raised her fist packed with chakra and threw it down on Sasori's puppet. This crushed and broke it.
The damage did not hurt Sasori but completely destroyed his puppet. Sasori new that he could not win a battle like this. He threw a kunai with a paper bomb attached before running at top speed from the window. He planned to go to his home. There he kept extra weapons and his other puppets. It was not that far from the Kazekage's place, so if he was in danger the Fourth would know. The smoke delayed the pair before they went after him.
Indeed the Fourth saw the puppet master as he fled to the safety of his home as well as those who pursued. He went to use his gold dust to crush them when a sand barrier protected them. Not that far away stood a teen dressed in the same cloaks as the others had, his hand extended to guide the sand. The kage knew who it was immediately. The guards surrounding the kage lurched to attack but was repelled by a strong gust of wind. There now stood Temari with her fan halfway opened protecting her brother. A second later Naruto was there too, standing beside Gaara. They all stood challenging the leader of the village.
"What do you say, old man, to a fight to the death between us? No one else just us." Gaara said glancing to the man. He stood still and glared at his son. Gaara looked quite similar to himself when he was young and Temari was a definite image of her mother. The kage thought sadly about how similar they looked like the family he once had.
"Alright but what will our men do?" He asked accepting the challenge.
"Watch the fight." He said back with an emotionless face. Both got into fighting stances and preparing their sources.
