ZOEY'S PERSPECTIVE:

Zoey looped around the thin barrier between her house and the world that was going on without her. Sure she lived in a mansion with all she could ever dream of, well everything but the outside world. The part Zoey hated the most was the thought that they didn't even know she existed. Her exquisite mansion was just a old abandoned coal mine for everyone else. There was no birth records, no school files. Not anyone knew she existed except for her two pets. A dog and a cat. Hamilton and Cassiopeia. I then thought, their names are quite strange! But she thought it didn't matter she would be the only one calling out their names, ringing the dinner bell for them. She felt comfortable with Cassiopeia and Hamilton, they were really her only friends unless you count the old rags she used to play with as a kid. We went through everything together but yet there was one difference, they existed once in their lives. They had a mother, they had a father, they had an owner that wasn't me. That's what lit my candle... wait FIRECRACKER suits that better, the thought that Cassiopeia and Hamilton had an owner that wasn't me that they were loved and cared for by someone else who wasn't me. The thought that...they didn't need me.
