ZOEY'S PERSPECTIVE
Zoey charged into the mansion slammed the door behind her and started sprinting twoards her favorite hiding spot, it's not like anyone would ever come to find her except maybe the Hamilton every once in a while would sniff her out. That wasnt likely to happen today. She didn't even want it to happen today. I thought to myself, "why doesn't anyone care about me!" I shouted in despair looking down at my hands. That's when I heard a little *chink* come from somewhere. It couldn't be our old grandfather clock it hasn't been working for AGES! So what could it possibly be? I looked around my little cubbyhole, I was sitting in a glowing red light. That was never there before, I shifted my position so I could see it and I saw a little pink Minnie Mouse watch sitting there. I shrugged it off, it was probably just mine from when I was younger. I turned halfway when I realized an important fact, it was a digital watch and it was on! I shifted my position once again to get a better view. Yes it definitely was working and it definitely was a digital watch! That exited me because nothing that was digital survived in this house because of the barrier! The only reason my laptop worked (not really because it couldn't connect to the outside world) is because we have a generator in one of our vast basements. I picked it up and came out of my little hidy-hole to find myself nose to nose with a tortoiseshell cat.
"Cassiopeia if it's not too troubling please do get out of my way, I have to go to the clockwork tower. And if you must know from there I am going to the generator." I said quite frankly. To my surprise Cassiopeia slid slightly to the right to let me pass. I inched out between the tight space. I saw the watch fall out of my hand as a dart slid into my calf and into my vein. That's when everything went dark.
