CASSIOPEIA'S PERSPECTIVE

The reason I stood in her way was because I knew Zoey was in trouble. Hybrids always are in trouble.  That's the entire reason the barrier was built to keep trouble AWAY from Zoey. The only reason I knew to stand guard by her post was the alarm bell I heard. When she came out she was carrying it in her hands.  Yes that watch she was carrying was the signaling device the barrier had been broken.  My two greatest concerns at the moment is how the barrier was broken and if she saw her reflection in the watch.  She has never seen a mirror in her life, for a matter of fact she doesn't even know what a mirror is. She was raised as a human not knowing she was a hybrid and we wanted to keep it that way and that meant no access to mirrors. By the time Zoey came out the barrier was already broken and the hunter was already inside the mansion to my left. So I moved out of the way so both of us wouldn't have been caught. Idiot Hamilton was probably snoozing in his bed as the event happened.  Once the Hunter left the proximity I shifted into my human form, a business lady in a pan suit, an earpiece, blue eyes and a bob. I held my finger to the earpiece to signal to Hamilton that there was a breakthrough. He was down here in his shifted form in seconds. His slim and balding shape stood out against the stark white walls of the mansion. I told him he details if the breach. My cat ears pricked up, his nose twitched. I saw a tranquilizer fly through he air and hit him in the arm as he fell to the floor. I barely had time to shift before I got hit too.
