ZOEY'S PERSPECTIVE

I hopped up to a school boy trying to look as cute as possible. He was no help  he just chased me around. I eventually stopped trying to get help from him and flew up to a tree. Making a mental note of where the center was I flew off looking for a lost hat. Eventually in the dirt I found a beanie. This would be perfect. Although I didn't have ears like a cat or a wolf I had feathers that poked up on my head along with a set of tail feathers. I shifted quickly behind a fence and put the beanie on. I shifted back immediately and took flight looking for a backpack. This would be much harder. I searched my mind for all the books I'd read about normal kids...The park! Kids leave their things unattended at the park! I flew higher flapping harder, oxygen draining from my beak the higher I went. I paused mid flap and looked down. There was a park on the east side of town, I dove down heading towards the park and the thing that might save my friends life. I swooped down and landed on a park bench. I looked for a bag that didn't look too heavy. I saw a cyan Miley Cyrus bag and that looked like it did the trick. I headed behind a tree and shifted making sure nobody saw me. I quickly put my hand on my head to make sure my beanie was still there. It was. I sighed a sigh of relief. I parked myself by the Miley Cyrus bag just behind a fence. I grabbed it then climbed a tree so fast that to any bystanders it would have looked like I flew. I got to crafting immediately. That was the good part about living in isolation. Your only friend is yourself.
