I had been
Wrong
When I'd told Anya
That it would be no problem.
It was foolish of me,
To carry the girl into her own camp,
A knife held to her throat.
I should have been ready
For the attack
That came
To me,
As soon as I entered.
I hadn't seem clearly,
Just someone take
My black skull helmet
And hit my head hard
With something.
A rock, probably.
I woke up moments after,
Tied to a post
That held up
Part of the drop ship on the inside.
I looked around,
And saw my bow and arrow
On the table.
My knives were on the floor,
And so was my jacket.
I instantly began trying to get out,
But this must have alerted them,
Because I saw a boy come down
From a hatch upstairs.
It wasn't the one I'd seem in the forest,
This one had messier dark hair
And freckles.
"What's your name?" He spat.
"How many of you are there?"
"What weapons are you using?'
I pretended not to know
What language he was speaking in,
And instead
Spat some cuss words
In our language
Right back at him.
But it was no use,
Because I had already given myself
Away
To the other boy.
"Bellamy, he doesn't speak English." I heard
Someone say.
And I glanced at the source of the voice;
A girl
With blue eyes
And dark hair,
Matching his.
"Octavia." Bellamy began,
"Stay out of this."
But the girl seemed determined.
She sat down
Right across from us,
And didn't move.
I was surprised when
Bellamy threw a punch at my face.
Then another one.
Then another one.
I wanted to cry out,
I wanted to make it stop somehow.
But I was sixteen,
And I needed to be
Strong.
I saw the boy from the forest next,
But I wasn't quite sure if that was him,
Because my vision
Was getting
Blurry.
