The girl's name
Was Darlene.
Darlene was not very nice,
But who would be?
After everything,
I'd almost
Slit her throat.
They called
The boy from the forest,
'Spacewalker.'
Weird name,
But I liked it.
It was night,
And Bellamy had left
A guard,
To make sure
I wouldn't escape.
Anya would probably
Think
I was dead.
And I would
Never
Become her second,
If she thought
I was
Dead.
My guard had
Long ago
Fallen asleep,
His knife
Right next to my
Skull helmet.
I was trying to formulate a plan,
When I heard
Someone
Enter.
At first,
I thought it was Bellamy,
Back to beat the
Living shit
Out of me
Again.
But instead,
I saw Spacewalker
And another girl,
With blonde hair
And brown eyes.
"I know you can understand us."
Said the girl,
In a whisper.
I looked to Spacewalker,
Who was staring at me
Intently,
Studying my face paint
Probably.
I didn't respond,
And was about to throw a kick,
When she got up
From a crouch
And untied my hands
From the post.
Now was my chance.
I swiftly reached for
My knives,
But Spacewalker
Stopped me.
I hoped
He couldn't feel
My quickening pulse,
As he touched
My hand.
But
It lasted
Only for a few seconds,
And he realized what
He was doing.
Spacewalker put his hand back
Quickly.
And I stared back at him.
"Sorry."
He said,
And
I nodded briefly.
Because there was nothing
To be sorry
About.
