You and Reggie sit in the student lounge, you siting on his lap as you two laugh at a joke one of the jocks had made. All seemed to be fine until Archie made a comment.
Thankfully he didn't say it too loud but for sure you heard the word "slut" leave his mouth. You push aside Archie's hurtful words, hoping Reggie didn't hear.
You mentally curse as you feel Reggie's body tense underneath you. A sign telling you "he definitely heard".
Reggie nudges your shoulder lightly motioning you to move. You frown already knowing a fight is going to break out but remove yourself from Reggie's lap anyways.
"What the fuck did you say Andrews?" Reggie asks with a clenched jaw as he inches closer to Archie.
Archie stays silent, regretting his words. You watch from afar, debating if you should step in.
"Cause to me, it sounded like you called my girlfriend a slut. But you wouldn't call her that right Andrews?" Reggie says as he grabs Archie by the collar of his shirt.
By now everyone in the student lounge is watching the scene unfold.
Before things can escalate, you find yourself tugging on Reggie's arm. "Let it go Reggie. He's not worth it" you say hoping Reggie would let go of Archie.
Reggie relaxes as he hears your voice "We're not done here Archie. Be thankful I don't bash your face in" Reggie spits, letting go of Archie.
You sigh in relief as everyone's attention is no longer on Reggie and Archie. Reggie makes his way over to you, grabbing your hand as you two leave the student lounge.
"You have no idea how much I wanted to punch him in the face Y/N" Reggie says with a clenched jaw as you two walk down the deserted halls.
You kiss Reggie's jaw, feeling him relax under your touch "I'm glad you didn't. He isn't worth it babe"
Reggie sighs as he intertwines your fingers together, pulling your body closer to his. "What he said about you isn't true. You don't deserve to be called that"
Reggie's words make your heart flutter as you realize how much your boyfriend loves you.
"I love you Reggie" you say placing a warm kiss on his cheek.
"I love you too babygirl" Reggie says, placing a kiss to your forehead.
That day you and Reggie realized how much you two care about each other and how thankful you both are to have the other.
