(Back to Clementine's P.O.V)

I was awakened to the sound of noise downstairs and the light shining through the tiny window near my bunk. I was nice to wake up this way; reminds me of times before all this happen.

Eventually, I mustered up the strength to get up, I pulled the blanket off me and climbed down the bunk. Once I reached the ground, I slipped my knock-off Converse on. I swiftly walked down the stairs to find Aly and Kimi in the kitchen laughing. They both turned around and looked at me. I hate when they do this..

"Clem!" Aly exclaimed as she pulled me in for a hug.

"Good morning" I said with a chuckle. I saw Kimi shot me a death glare and I let go of Aly.

"We got some canned stuff if you want anything" the tall girl told me.

I grabbed a can of pears and began to eat, leaning against the marble counter top. I considered grabbing peaches, but the girl on the can gave me some weird vibe.

I was soon greeted by Kimi in the kitchen. She was looking through the cabins, eventually grabbing a can of peaches; who'd figure. We both then stood in silence and ate

"Clem, I want you to know that I don't hate you" Kimi said out of nowhere.

"What makes you say that?" I asked in response. I personally could think of a few reasons.

"I don't hate you. I just don't want Aly getting attached to someone again. I can't bare to see her go through another loss" she told me quietly.

"I understand but..I don't have any-" I got cut off.

"Just don't" she replied. With that, she exited.

~ 6 months later ~

"Alright Clem! Ready to fish!?" Aly asked me as she exits out the front door. Our food supply is getting low so, me and Aly decided to fish.

"As ready as ever!" I reply, excited to do an activity with someone that I've become so close with.

"Alright, bye you two. Good luck" Kimi told the both of us as she handed the worms we collected when it rained. Me and Aly set out, walking down pathways set out before all of the world went to shit.

"I bet you, I'll catch a bigger fish then you" Aly challenged, nudging my shoulder.

"Oh, you are on!" I said as we shook on our deal.

We continued to talk about funny stories about our life before everything that went on.

"This one time in fifth grade, we had a pet fish and it was my turn to feed it. The fish food was all gone and I didn't wanna tell my teacher, so, I fed it some cracker pieces from my lunch" Aly told me. We both had laughing fits.

It was now my turn to tell the story, "When me and my best friend were little, we played with water balloons in the summer. Once, I threw a balloon at the ground and it splashed on my neighbor! He was horribly angry!" I exclaimed and we both laughed.

We continued on with this until we reached the small lake. No walkers in sight, perfect.

We both took a seat near the river and put worms on the hooks before throwing the lines in the water. Now all that was left is to wait.

"Yes! First fish!" I exclaimed. It was small but, I was proud. It took what I guessed was half an hour and it was worth it.

"Damn you, Clem" she said, smirking as I chuckled at the comment.

~~~~~~
A few hours had passed and I so far had the biggest fish.
"Holy shit! I got a bitter!" Aly yelped. I helped her pull and the biggest fish I have ever seen came flying out of the water!
