Chapter 16

* Kylah's POV *

"I believe this is yours" said the man that looked like he was threatening Clementine's life.

"Let go of her!" Kimi said, running up to the man.

He soon pulled a gun out and held it up to the young girls head.

Kimi stopped in her tracks and stepped backwards.

"Why do you want her" Luke asked the man, staring directly into his eyes.

"This little one basically begged me to take her in" the man said, smirking.

"No I-" Clementine got cut off, as the man drew is gun closer to her head.

She yelped in fear.

How does this man live? How many other children has he taken? Jesus, the world is already horrible.

Soon, we all hard a gunshot. Luke bent down, putting his arm around me as he did. I too moved down.

The man landed with a thud on the ground. Clementine falling too.

We all turned around to see Alex holding a gun, moving it down slowly.

"Jesus Alex!" Jack yelled.

I quickly got up, picking the small girl up off the ground, holding her in my arms as I stood up. She cried into my shoulder.

Luke moved the body away from the house, Kimi soon helping him. Just so the walkers wouldn't get close to the cabin.

"I'm sorry..I'm s-s-so sorry" Clem repeated in the crook of my neck, sobbing.

"It's okay sweetie, it's okay. Your with us now" I said, holding her close, rubbing her back.

Luke and Kimi came back, closing the door and locking it behind them.

Luke came up to me, comforting Clementine as well.

I was sitting on the couch, Luke next to me and Clementine was in my arms.

I hadn't asked her anything on the topic of this man, I didn't want to bring it up this soon.

I rubbed her back, trying to keep her calm.

"So..who was that guy?" Luke asked.

"Luke!" I slightly yelled at him, nudging his arm slightly.

"No..I should tell you guys what happen" Clem said in a soft, hushed tone.

"Whenever your ready.." Luke told her quietly.

"After I left, I was tired and hungery, I found his camp and he took care of me for a little. Soon, he asked me to do weird things and asked if I was with anyone and-" she cut herself off and just sat on my lap, saying nothing.

Tears soon began to run down her cheeks. I wiped them away, only allowing room for new ones.

"It's okay..it's okay..you're safe now" I cooed to her.

* Clementine's POV *

I was finally back home. Those 2 weeks with that man were horrible.

As I cut myself off with the story, I began to relive everything. Tears began running down my cheeks.

Kylah comforted me.

I was glad to be back in her arms. With her and with Luke.

The snow was hitting harder then before as I watched it fall outside.

Kylah and Luke were talking quietly as Kylah rocked me back and forth slowly, like a little child.

I soon fell asleep in her arms.

* Kimi's POV - The following day *

Everyone was out, in an attempt to find the camp that captured Clementine. I told them not to go out in the snow but, they didn't listen.

I reached for my journal and flipped through the paper pages that were sewn inside the book.

I decided to finish up a song I've been writing for quite sometime.

I let the pencil glide across the paper as I wrote the final lyrics.

I decided to sing the lyrics over since no one was home. Why not?

"You make me feel low, you make me feel loooow. I try so hard to convince myself it's okay that I feel this way.." I sang the chorus softly to myself.

"You're really good" I heard Jack say as her leaned against the doorframe.

I quickly shut the journal.

"Jack..I-I-" I stuttered.

"When did you get back?" I asked, attempting to change the topic.

"We all got back not to long ago. Didn't find the camp.." I said back.

"Glad to see you're getting after me though" Jack said as he walked over and rubbed the top of my head, causing my hair to get messed up.

With that, he exited the room.

I heard laughter as he opened the door, the sound fading as it closed.

Time to check whats going on.
