Chapter 6

My brother Adam storms in my room while I'm listening to Lana Del Rey. He looks so happy and exciting. "Sooph!! Will you please do me a favour?" he asks. "First of all, tell me what it is?" I answer. "I got two tickets for Martin Garrix tonight!! I saw them on ticketmaster and I just couldn't slip them away! Will you please come with me? Mom and dad won't let me go alone.. you're my only hope.." I sigh.. "Martin Garrix is that famous DJ right?" I say. "Yes he is!! He's so cool and you probably find him hot" Adam smirks. "Adam you know I don't like DJ's...", "But Sooph I will miss this huge opportunity to see my favorite DJ if you don't wanna come with me, pleeeeeeaaaaase Sooph". I sigh and look at him, he really wants this. "Okay Adam, I'll go with you" I say. "OMG I LOVE YOU SOOPH, YOU'RE THE BEST" I laugh at him and then he walks away to tell our parents we're going to Martin Garrix.

I planned a chill netflix night tonight, now I need to get ready for a party... We're leaving in 30 minutes. I hope it will be okay.. I take a short shower and put some make-up on my face. Not much, just my natural look with some dark lipstick to make it more partyish. It's pretty hot outside so I go for shorts. I look at my clothes and find a cute black top. I put on my grey allstars and then I'm ready to go. Let's do this, for Adam. C'mon Sophia, maybe you'll meet new friends. This is good for you.

We need to drive to the festival for 30 minutes. "Hey Adam, play some of his songs so I know something" We listen to his songs the whole time. I have to admit, I love his music. I can't resist the feeling of dancing, so I'm moving my head with the rhythm of the music. Adam notices that I'm liking it. "It looks like you're going to have a great time there Sooph" he says with a smile. "Yea sure" I answer.

When we arrive, we walk to the entrance. Adam shows the guy our tickets and we are allowed to walk in. This festival looks so cool. I see people dancing and having fun everywhere. It's overwhelming. I think there's another famous DJ playing, because I see a lot of fangirls yelling and screaming. "Adam who's playing now?" I ask him. He answers with "Oh Sooph, you seriously don't know anything about the EDM world, do you?". "Well not really no, but who is it?", "It's Dillon Francis, he is really good. This song is called Set me free". "Oh I like it" I answer.

"Let's go to the main stage where Martin is going to play in 10 minutes" Adam says. We walk to the main stage and it looks so huge. I'm excited. I don't even know what Martin Garrix looks like. Adam said a lot of girls find him hot. We'll see.

The music starts and a lot of people, including Adam, start yelling 'MARTIN WOEEEH'. Then a guy shows up behind the DJ booth. He looks hot, but don't I know him? He starts talking and says "Biarritz are you ready??? Make some noise for yourselves!!!!!". Woah the whole crowd starts jumping, it looks magical. I realise Martin Garrix is the surf guy. All the parts fall together now. He told me his name was Martijn, Martijn and Martin are kinda similar.

His song Animals comes up and the whole crowd is going mental over here. I decide to just follow. I love the feeling of losing myself in the music so much. Now I get why Adam likes this so much. I can't stop looking at Martijn, he looks so passionate when he's DJ'ing. Out of the sudden I feel a hand on my shoulder. I look who's hand it is and then see a guardian. "Madam, can you please follow me?" he asks. I'm confused, what is going on? I have to follow him, he's a guardian. He brings me somewhere, where normal people can't come. I'm scared.. He says "just wait here for a second please". I nod and grab my phone to text Adam. Just when I'm about to text him, I hear my name. "Sophia come over here". I see Martijn standing there and waving his hand. I walk to him and he gives me a short hug. "You have to see this" Martijn says to me. He then grabs his microphone and tells the crowd "grab your phone and put your flashlight on!!".

I'm standing next to him, the number 1 DJ of the world, behind his DJ booth at a huge festival. I see thousands of people before me. They all put on their flashlights and "together" starts playing. I recognize this song from the car. This is magical. I can't believe this..
