Chapter 9

It was our perfect first kiss. We pull back from each other and I look in his eyes. My body feels like an explosion.

We continue our surfclass but I can't stop looking at him. I think I like him, a lot. Martijn walks towards me when the class is over. "Hey, do you wanna go eat somewhere?" He asks me. "Yea, that would be great" I say and smile.

We walk to a fancy cafe and we take a seat by the window. I see surfers riding perfect waves, when I look back at our table I see Martijn sitting in front of me. I feel so happy. I make a picture of him looking out of the window. He looks perfect.

My phone buzzes. It's a text from my mom "hey honey, where are you?". "hi mom, I'm with Martijn" I answer. "Oh ok. Invite him for dinner tonight" she sends me. "Eh Martijn, my mom invites you for dinner at my house tonight, I don't know if you're up to that so yea", "no, I'd like to come and meet your family" he says with a cute little smile. "But I have a important meeting in the midday, so I'll come after that to your house, right?". "Yes that's perfect, oh and bring your swim clothes maybe we can go swim in our pool" I say. "Yea sure I will, cool I'm excited!" he says. We both order pancakes and they taste delicious. When we're done eating, we walk outside. "I have to go to my meeting now, but I see you tonight" Martijn says. "Yes see ya" Martijn grabs my hands and kisses me. I feel those butterflies again. Whoaaa. I kiss him back and we hug each other. "See ya babe" he says and walks away.

I walk back home. I should clean my room because I don't want Martijn to see this mess. My mom walks into my room. "Is Martijn coming over tonight?" she asks. "Yes he's coming" I say with a smile. "Fun!" and she walks away. I grab my laptop and go on Spotify. I typ in 'Martin Garrix' and the playlist 'this is Martin Garrix' comes up. I push on play and clean my room while listening to it. It's so awesome and it really reminds me of his happy personality. The time flies. I check my phone and see a message from Martijn "be there in 20 minutes xx" I answer with "okayy see ya xx".

The doorbell rings 20 minutes later. I run downstairs and open the door. There he is with flowers for my mom. I hug him and guide him in. He gives my mother the flowers and they talk for a bit. I give him something to drink and we walk to the garden where my mom covered the table. It looks beautiful. Sam runs to Martijn and says "sooooo you're Soophs boyfriend then!!!" I start blushing and I look at Martijn and I see him blushing too. "uhh yea I guess so" he answers awkwardly with a smile. Luckily Adam walks in "Hey Martijn! Nice to meet you bro!". "Hey! Yes, cool! How are you?" he answers. They start talking and I'm going inside to help my mom.

I help her cutting some vegetables and when I look outside I see my brothers and Martijn talking and having fun. I'm glad they like each other. Dinner is ready and everyone start eating. I sit next to Martijn and he really is enjoying it. After dinner we all help my mother with cleaning and when we're done we walk back to the garden. "So shall we go swim" Adam asks us. "Yaaass let's do this" we say in agreement. I walk to my room to put on my bikini. When I'm ready I walk back downstairs and I see that my brothers and Martijn are having fun in the pool. I jump into the pool. "Oooh shall we do a fight?" Sam says. "Yes let's do it, I'm a team with Sooph!" Martijn says.

We all grab some water guns and the fight begins. It's so much fun. I end up sitting on Martijn's back and we're running after Sam. When we're all exhausted we fall on the grass. We're laughing so hard. My mom comes to us and offers us something to drink. "Let's dry ourselves" I say to Martijn. "Come follow me to the bathroom". We walk upstairs to the bathroom and I hand Martijn a towel. We dry ourselves. When we're done he comes close to me. I must say he looks very good. We stare in each other's eyes and Martijn grabs my hips. We come a little bit closer and we kiss. I crave his lips so bad. It feels like I'm rising. This day couldn't be any better. After a while we pull back and we walk to my room.

My laptop screen is still open and Martijn looks at it. He sees the playlist 'this is Martin Garrix'. "I see you were getting to know me?" he says with a smirk. "Ha ha yes, and I really liked you" I answer. My phone buzzes and Martijn gets it. He reads it and his face shows me he's angry. You can see it in his eyes, they get more dark. He walks away and shuts the door hard. What is going on? I ask myself. I grab my phone and I see a message from Dean "miss you so much babe xxx"
oh my god. "No it's not what it looks like, Martijn!!" I scream. Tears are filling up my eyes as I run downstairs. The front door shuts and Martijn runs away. I knew this was going to happen. But it's not even what it looks like.. I run back to my room and start crying. I lay in my bed. Why why why. I grab my phone and text Martijn "Martijn it's not what it looks like, please let me explain.." I send him. He reads it immediately but doesn't answer..
