Chapter 11: James' POV
I could tell this guy wasn't joking, and yes, I knew that I wouldn't be able to handle those creeps alone. So I accepted the fact that I would just have to go along wih the idiot and fight. As soon as he passed a long fat knife to the kids, I winced. But taking a stand against him would only get me back to where I was. In the basement with my limbs duc-taped together.
"Alright, you 3 go that way," the man pointed at Charlie, Zoe and I "And this lovely woman can come with me."
"My wife will come with me!" I exclaimed, grabbing Mary and pulIing her behind me.
"Fine, pass over Charlie," the man stated.
"My boy!" Mary cried "You're not taking him again!"
"It's either you or him."
"What if I refuse?!" Mary shouted.
The stranger held up the gun. "I'll kill your husband."
I swear my heart stopped beating for a few seconds. Fear flooded my body and my eyes started to sting.
"You wouldn't dare!" She screeched. The man ran his finger around the muzzel of the handgun, then made his way down to the trigger.
"Ok!" Mary screamed "I will go with you!"
The man walked towards the front door. "Well come on!"
Mary hesistated. She took a look at us. Then I saw a tear fall down her cheek. She gave us a kiss each, then walked after the stranger.
I knew I would probably never see her again.
