I stared at the woman in front of me in astonishment. She wore a pale blue colored dress with white frills around the neckline, she even had her hair done up in a low bun.

Then a light knock sounded on the door. I turned from the mirror and said, "Come in."

Alexander opened the door and looked me up and down once he laid eyes on me.

"[Your Name], you look.. amazing." He said, taking my hands into his.

"It's strange to see myself wearing a dress and not the uniform." I told him, laughing lightly.

"I agree, I'd say I forgot how gorgeous you looked in a dress but the uniform made you a lot more intriguing.." he said, earning a slap on the arm. "I meant in a good way, of course! You make anything you wear look amazing, but I bet you look even better wearing—" two slaps on the arm in three minutes, that's a new record.

"You'd love to find out, wouldn't you?" I said with a smirk.

His cheeks reddened before replying, "Why of course, and I plan on finding out." He said with a smirk spreading across his lips.

"Well, you can wait." I said, walking past him.

"Will do, love." He said, rushing up behind me as I walked out of the room.

I sighed as I stared at the front door.

"We don't have to visit her if you don't want to, [Your Name]." Alexander said as he stood next to me.

I gave him a reassuring smile, "It's been two years, also I think she deserves to know that her runaway daughter actually found someone to love."

"Whoever that man is, he sure is lucky." Alexander said, causing me to laugh.

"I suppose you are, then." I told him.

"There isn't any 'supposing' about it, I know I am." He replied, winking at me.

"Good." I said with a smirk, "And you better remember it, too. Because if I ever catch you cheating, I'll burn you at the stake." I told him.

"Noted." He replied with  a nod.

"We're wasting time, lets go and get this over with." I said, turning to the door only to have Alexander rush in front of me to open it.

"Ladies first," he insisted, causing me to smile.

He shut the door and helped me into the carriage that was waiting outside the house, then jumped in beside me.

"Is there anyone else you plan on visiting?" He asked.

"I hope to see Anne." I told him, smiling at my memories with her.

"Whom might she be?"

I sighed, "She's one of my mother's servants, and also the sweetest friend I had as I child. We grew up together, actually." I told him.

"I'm excited to meet her then." He said.

I smiled to myself, noting that he hadn't even said anything about Anne. Seeing as she was my mother's slave, though I hope one day she isn't.

The carriage ride was short, I looked out of the window and instantly felt panicky as I laid eyes on what I used to call 'home.'

Alexander took hold of my hand and gave me a reassuring smile as the carriage came to a stop.

The driver came around and opened the door for us, giving me his hand as help to step out of the carriage.

I stared at the house, looking up to the window in the far right. The window that I once looked through, longing for an adventure in the world.
