What about him?

It was finally dark and we had just barely made it to the small valley connecting the village and the fields. "You doing alright back there Canyon?" I stopped and waited for the trio to walk a little past me.

"Sure you could say.." Canyon said, giving me a faint smile then closing his eyes once more. We all walked in silence, heavily breathing coming from the three, being exhausted from carrying Canyon, 2 times the weight of the 3 combined, walking and keeping their strength up from Agata forest, back to the village. We knocked on Mr. And Mrs. Orange's house and they gladly invited us in. As soon as we stepped in and laid Canyon down, the wonderful smell of Oranges, Strawberries, and Cherries filled our noses. It was wonderful.

"Mmm it smells great Mrs. Orange!" I bowed my head to Mr. and Mrs. Orange, as I was trying to respect my elders. "Thank you," she looked at us with a cheery face and made space on her small table, and scooted some fresh, steamy pies in front of us,"Here, eat up you kids."

I looked over to Avery, Ashae, and Andesite. And ya know what I saw? I saw them drooling, waiting to fully consume the fresh, hot, and wonderfully smelling pies. I giggled,"You three are so weird," I laughed softly to them then walked over to Canyon, sadly laying on a large dog bed. "Hey Canyon," I looked at him trying to cheer him up,"wanna come join us for pie?" He seemed to look up and nod.

I helped him up, and we walked cautiously over to the table. I ate slowly, enjoying the good tastes of some kind of berry mixed with and orange. I also looked to my side once in a while, seeing Mr. and Mrs. Orange slide over another pie, one after one, being devoured by the three, but happily smiling as they were happy to know that everyone liked their pie.

A while later, while everyone was asleep in a large looking doggie bed, I tip-toed over to Canyon. As I looked him over, his breathing sounded normal for once. I also noticed his colors where different now. I thought to myself,"I hope he's ok, and that he'd recover faster.." I looked down at him and sat myself down, cuddly into  up next to the bed he was in as I laid on my tails and felt warm all over. I finally fell asleep as soon as I heard a sigh.

I woke up a few minutes after I apparently fell asleep. I felt a sudden rumble and I looked over to see if anyone got up or something. I slowly stood up, eyes glowing sapphire blue, and glanced around. I saw nothing out of the ordinary I thought to myself. "There's Canyon, Avery, Andy and... hey where's Ash?". I walked around the small house cautiously so I didn't startle the couple. I did peak through the wooden doors to see if Ashae was hiding somewhere in their room. "Did he seriously have to wake up to do this right now?" I grumbled and yawned.

I poked my head through the crack in the door and stepped outside to look around for anything suspicious. All I saw was the bright moonlight shining on the small village, the rice fields glowing in the moonlight, and the soft rays of light lowing through the cherry blossoms, making shady patterns on the grass. It didn't seem like anything was in the water either. I crawled up onto the large rock by Mrs. Orange's clothes line, and by the bright red shaded bridge. I sighed and looked down at the water and saw my reflection. I looked the same, I guess, but I sure didn't feel like it. I felt awkward sitting outside alone just looking at myself. I looked up at the moon and sat there for a while until I saw the sun come up and out from behind the very large mountains that protected Kamiki. I closed my eyes and let out a loud sigh and let the soft light start to warm me up as I fell asleep.

Canyons P.O.V

I felt a rumble in my stomach as I rolled over in my bed. I opened an eye slowly as it felt pretty numbed shut. I didn't see Brooke or that orange dog one. "What was his name again...? Oh.. yeah I think it was... never mind. Where'd they go..?" I groaned as I tried to stand up but I felt too sore and weak to move myself. I felt something move me, well, more of a drag. "Hey hey hey whose doing that?" I growled and turned to see what was pulling my tail. It was Avery that small little fox. " Uhm, fox what are you doing" I said to her with an attitude as she pulled me to the doorway. "Are ya blind? Do you not see that Brooke AND Ashae are gone." She said as she opened the door and the blinding sunlight pierced my eyes. I looked back at where everyone slept and she was gone. The only one still asleep was that Andesite dog. "Well where do you think they went then fox?" I said to her as I laid on the floor of the doorway. "Mmm not sure. We can look for them though!" She whispered to me like she was excited. I nodded and tried to get up, still in pain. Surprising, that small fox was strong enough to heave me up.

"Do you think you'll be ok Crayon?" She said to me and laughed

"Do you think you'll be ok Crayon?" She said to me and laughed. "Excuse me did you call me Crayon? My name's Canyon.." I grumbled back to her with a small halved smile on my face. "I know, but it's your new nickname." She said as she trotted head high out the door. It was surprising how friendly she was to me as we started to look around.

Brooke's P.O.V

"Ugh.. where am I?" I felt all dirty and dusty for some reason. I felt a tug on on of my tails and looked behind me to see Ashae looking at me terrified. "Uh what's wrong Ash?" He looked at me with glowing eyes as we where behind the waterfall in the hidden old dusty cave. "W-well I was exploring your village and I found this... uhm..." he pointed to  large scratches, marks, and dents in the side of the cave. "This is weird... but seriously.. you had to bring me here?!" I said out loud and looked at him with annoyance. "I tried to go find you last night and you bring me here, great." I stood up and shook off and walked toward the cave entrance. "Ugh, ok that's not the only thing. I wanted to talk to you about Canyon," he said as he looked at me as we walked out.
