Old Faces mean New Memories

Brooke's Pov

It was now morning and I had just woken up. I looked around and surprisingly, Canyon wasn't in the burrow, so I stuck my head outside slowly and yawned. As I was still looking around with my eyes, my head was laying on the curving part of the burrow that lead down. "Canyonnnn.... where are youuuuuu.." I said to myself lazily and finally I picked myself up and walked around. I still couldn't see him. I looked around and sniffed for tracks, but I didn't pick up any scents that even smelled like him. I picked up a strange scent that kinda seemed familiar to me, so, I obviously followed it. I trotted around with the scent still being smellable and made my way out of Agata Forest and made my way through a small valley and came out and found I was now in Taka Pass.

I followed the scent to around the mermaid springs. I looked around the pond and suddenly saw two dog like figures and a small fox looking figure. I tilted my head and looked again and trotted a little bit closer. Suddenly the three figures came right at me trying to bite me! "Ah! What are you..?!" I yelped and I quickly jumped back before they were able to bite my face. As they walked confidently out of hiding, I recognized those three faces out of anywhere.

It was my three old best friends in the entire world! Ashae, Avery, and Andesite! The Tripple A's is what their group was called. I looked at them so relieved I almost started crying with my eyes filled with joy and tears as I ran up to them and hugged them with all my might. "Guys! I missed you so much!!" I said so happily as they hugged me back and we all started crying happy tears. "I can't believe we found you Brooke!" Avery, the small eevee yelled. " Ashae the growlithe also yelled," What ever happened?! When was the last time we saw you after we lost you!" He said in between sniffles. "We've missed you so much!" The rockruff Andesite who I always loved calling 'Andy' said as he tightly hugged me.

                                                                  Canyons Pov
I was watching this happen as I was hiding in a tall branch of a tree above them while I was invisible. I felt happy for her that she found her old friends but then I was also Jealous and Mad. "Oh no, this is gonna ruin this even more!" I yelled but no one could hear me from up here as I started to cry with tears of jealousy and anger in my eyes as my eyes seemed to swirl with clouds and thunder. "They're going to ruin what I've tried so hard on..!" I stood up and jumped off the branch. As I almost touched the floor I teleported to behind them as I saw Brooke was crying and I was still crying too. Tears falling down my face as I ran back to the den and covered it back up, with a few holes so I could still breathe.

Back to Brooke's Pov
I suddenly felt a shiver go down my back and turned to see no one was there. I then just remembered," Oh, guys, (!) I should take you to my new friend Canyon! I bet he'll be so happy to meet you!" Everyone agreed to come see him as we ran and played and made our way back to Agata Forest. I took them to where the burrow had been. "You sure this was where you stayed?" Ashae said as he started sniffing around. "Yes I'm sure of it..! Canyon?" I started to yell out looking for him as I felt scared and unprotected and I missed him. I really missed him!

We started looking around and Avery and I started digging down where the burrow had been. We found the entrance and I crawled in as fast as I could. "Canyon!" I yelled and ran up to him as I saw he was hiding in the corner, crying. I motioned kindly for Avery to wait outside and tell the others we found him. As she left, I hugged and snuggled him, surprisingly I didn't feel nervous because I really missed him. "Canyon where were you?!" I held his face in my paws as I sat up looking at his long sad face, tears slowly rolling down his face now and then. He looked up at me and said,"Nothing.." and sniffled. "What is it? Come on you know you can tell me." I said calmly trying to make him feel better, as I slowly put my head on him. "Fine... it's your friends-" I cut him off a bit alarmed," What about them?" I said quickly and was all ears to what he had to say. "They just might try to take you away from me..." he said and a few more tears fell from his sad, sad eyes with a few more sniffles following. "Don't worry, Ashae and Andy don't like me." I said then suddenly said in my head,"I think.."

I looked down at him then laid myself next to him on the bare ground. I laid my head on his shoulder. Everyone slowly came in and I nudged Canyon and made a face that kinda meant to them 'not feeling well'. They seemed to understand and and came up and cuddled us. I felt happy that all of my friends were here. Aspecially Canyon. We all cuddled up together and fell asleep, my head on Canyon's, his slowly fell onto mine, Avery cuddled in one of my tails, and Ashae and Andy staring at me with blank eyes. It seemed as if they were talking to each other about me.. I definitely didn't feel comfortable with them just staring at me and Canyon. They both then just walked over to Avery and cuddled her. I laid there wondering what was happening.. Is it something that's different? Something wrong? Is it Canyon? Is it... Me?
