Sun streams in through the open window. Blaise leaps out,
"Boo!" He laughs. I inhale sharply,
"Bloody hell, Blaise. You scared me!"
"That was the idea." He smirks. I frown, then remember that I am Draco Malfoy.
"Don't worry, I'll return the favour soon." I say and it's my turn to smirk as I see Blaise look wary of me. Blaise slides off my bed and I follow him.
"Leave." I say and change into jeans and a sweater. Then I saunter out, running my hands through my hair. I'm due for a haircut, but somehow I don't mind. Instead of looking sleek it has developed a slight wavy texture on top and it hangs into my eyes. I sweep it off my face and shoot a look at Blaise. His usually incredibly short hair is starting grow out and he looks scruffy,
"We are really due for a haircut. We should go to Monsieur Soyer's." I suggest. Blaise touches his hair with a frown,
"You're right, I suit short hair far better." We smile at each other, then I snap back into reality by saying,
"I'm always right, Zabini." He rolls his eyes and we walk to the dining hall together. At the Slytherin table I attempt to lead Blaise as far away from Pansy as possible, but no! Blaise has to suggest sitting with Pansy. Hurt that he would prefer to sit with her than me, I snort in disgust,
"Right, yeah. You do that." I turn on my heel,
"Sorry, Malfoy. You know how it is. Hmm, actually you don't." I swivel around and shoot him a glare. If looks could kill, Zabini would be dead for sure,
"Sorry mate, didn't mean it like that. Anyhow- I don't want to jeopardise our relationship!"
"Bullshit." I mutter under my breath, "What about jeopardising our friendship!" I scoop a piece of toast off the table and stomp out, cursing under my breath. Suddenly I slam into Cedric and am shoved into a girl. The girl and I both go flying. My head hits the floor and I feel it buzzing. I swear in pain as my head spins. I hear a scream. I feel a hand on my shoulder and I blink, my eyes watering. A handsome, chiseled jaw comes into view. Cedric. He grasps my hand and pulls me up,
"I'm so- I didn't, I-"

Cedric shakes his head,

"It's okay, Draco. You didn't hit me badly, it was her." I turn around to see a girl, crumpled on the floor, having hit her head on the floor, blood trickles into her eyes. My hand flies to my mouth. It's the girl from yesterday,
"Her name's Fleur Delacour and sh-" I feel dizzy, "Draco? Are you oka-" I don't hear the rest of what he said. Because I, Draco Malfoy, of one of the most feared families in the wizarding world, known for being...well... a bad boy. I, Draco Malfoy did, indeed...faint.
