Chapter 4: Escaping From The Mansion

I lost all my hope and sat on the floor sobbing. Soon there was some kind of smoky smell but I didn't care  to find what it was, as my mind was too upset to notice anything.  All of a sudden there was smoke all around me. It was the lantern....It was broken lying next to a wooden table and the table was on fire. The fire spread all around the place instantaneously and it started to suffocate me. 

I started searching for water and anything that would put on fire but it was a abandoned house I could not find anything ...........anything to stop the fire from increasing. It was too late to do anything. I wanted to go back and meet my family once but nothing was impossible  now. The staircase was also on fire . As the fire increased tears flowed through my eyes. I just felt death coming towards me in the form of heat. 

Suddenly the windows were appearing back. I could not believe my eye. The windows were really back I didn't Wait for the door instead I broke the windows using the metal pipe and jumped out.

It was pitch dark outside except for places near the mansion. I had stayed hours in the mansion suffering. It was like a miracle that had happened to me. Now I was freed from the mansion but was still roaming in the woods hoping to find the carriage. It was a bit scary to go around in the dark but still I was happy to come out of that mansion. I could barely see anything in the dark. While walking around, there was some kind of light shinning   far away from the place where I was standing, the blinking light started moving towards me. As it was coming closer I could see a black figure forming and it was calling me "sire .........sire". This voice bought me back my life. It was Oliver. I ran to him with a relief.  With curiosity I asked him where did he go but he just didn't care to reply. Within minutes he found the way back. The rain had already stopped so it easier to locate the carriage. I ran to the carriage but Oliver didn't follow me. I turned to him and stared at him trying to understand what was wrong with him, suddenly someone grabbed my hand from the back it. To my surprise it was Oliver again. When I turned back to the other one he was already gone. It was not Oliver. Oliver was standing next to me. He told me that he has been there all the time trying to get the carriage out. There was a moment of silence and then we got into the carriage.

The carriage started to move and I felt like I came back from death. I did not  want to  think of that house ever again but something made me look back, there was someone standing beside the burning building waving its hand at me. It had a shape of a human but it looked more like a monster its mouth was wide open and it was completely black so I could not see his face properly. 

I was so confused. what was happening around me. On one hand I was threatened by someone but on the other hand I was saved by someone........... but why? why did all this happen? I had so many  unsolved questions in my mind and finding  the answers for these questions was difficult.

But the good part is I ESCAPED FROM THE MANSION
