day nine: tuesday.
reason nine: your smile.

"do you want some?" dan offered gesturing with his hand to a candy floss stall. a wide smile suddenly crept up on elodie's face. she quickly became giddy; jumping up and down.

"yes yes yes yes yess!" she squealed. without a second thought she was running up to the stall and paying the older man. dan followed behind her a with rather large grin.

he loved it when he was able to make her like this. giddy. happy about something.

"mmm" she hummed in appreciation. "you've no idea how much i love candy floss." elodie stated.

"i think i can take a somewhat accurate guess." he joked and elodie have him a 'well never' look as she rolled her eyes.

however she quickly retorted back to her hyper ways. "come on i have the perfect spot." she said, dragging dan by his hand.

she took dan to a skyscraper roof top that had an incredible view of the city. the sky was smokey blue with bursts of pink feathered around white clouds and a golden sun.

they sit together on the edge eating their candy floss.

"you know, the reason why i love candy floss so much much, is because of my mum." she pauses for a second looking out at the view. "we use to go on these trips together when i was little. to this place called bourton-on-the-water. but we lived far away so we'd only go every once in a while. we'd stay for a day or so. and get candy floss. i miss her, dan." she looked over to him, tears brimming her eyes. he leaned over to place a thumb on her cheek.

"she'd be proud of you." he whispers, and she smiles at that. nothing could ever make her happier than knowing that who she is now, is a person her mother would be proud of.  "i like it when you smile like that." he states. "it's genuine. not forced. it's happy.

"i guess that's the effect of my mum." elodie shrugs. "you do it too though." she nudges dans shoulder. smiling still.

"reason nine. your smile. you are beautiful."
