Holly
"No way." I said, dumbfounded.
"Yeah, and I got suspended for like 3 says." He said, chuckling.
"I would love to see that," I paused. "Because I would probably just laugh at you all day long." I snorted as I burst out laughing. He smiles at me as if he's trying to contain himself from laughing.
We are currently walking all alone at the beach at 9 in the evening, taking a break from our annoying friends. It honestly just feels so nice to just talk and joke around about stuff and to not actually do anything. Especially that it's night time, I usually tend to get more open and emotional that I pour out my feelings and open up about things that aren't even supposed to be opened up.
"When did you start to realize that you had feelings for me?" I blurt out, my sudden curiosity strikes me again.
"This may sound ridiculous but I actually started developing feelings for you when we threw you a good bye party last year." He chuckled.
"You literally had feelings for me by the time I was leaving?" I laughed.
"Yeah." He replied, chuckling.
"Why?" I asked with an amused smile on my face.
"I don't know. Maybe it's because of your smile that can light up the whole world." He says seriously. "Or probably the way you dance." He snorts, ruining the moment and clearly making fun of me because he knows that I can't dance.
"Wyatt, you know that I can't dance." I said, playfully smacking his arm and glaring at him jokingly. "Whenever I dance, I look like I'm having a seizure." I said making him laugh hard.
"Yeah, maybe that's true." He nodded, still with an amused smile on his face.
"Do you remember when we used to make fun of all those profiles from dating sites back when we were 13?" I said as I laugh at the memory.
"Yeah, those were the good ol' days." He chuckles.
"I miss doing those."
"Yeah me too. Remember the fake interviews we used to do?"
I laughed and nodded in response. I pretend to clear my throat and sit up straight as if I was interviewing him. He has this cheeky smile on his face as if he's trying hard not to laugh.
"So, Wyatt, tell me about yourself." I joked, changing into a weird and horrible accent and mimicking the funny dating profiles.
"Uh, hi. My name's Wyatt Jess Oleff. I'm 30 years old and I like long walks at the beach. I want to marry someone perfect and have 6 kids." Wyatt jokes, also changing his accent which made me laugh hard.
"Dude, that was great." I snort as I squeezed my eyes and laugh at him.
"Did you just dude zoned me?" He said with his eyebrows raised, still smiling.
"Yeah sorry, I guess we're not meant for each other." I said, fake disappointed.
"Aw, I guess we're gonna have to break up then." He joked, going with the flow.
I laughed at him as I stared into his eyes. I admired his face, his smile, his laugh, everything is just so perfect about him.
I've never felt this way about any other guy before. I've only felt it with towards Wyatt. I don't know if it's the way he smiles or laughs but every time I see him, it feels as if my whole world lights up. Just his mere presence makes me happy.
I look up at the sky and witnessed a sky full of stars. We decide to sit on the sand and just admire the view above us. I've always loved stars and everything about astronomy. You can say that I'm a nerd but I really love science. I've always loved science ever since I was in middle school because I'm always curious and interested about stuff around me.
I look to the side and admired Wyatt who's looking up at the sky and admiring the view. Ever since we were little, he's always been the one who supports me with everything. I can call him at midnight and rant to him about my problems while he sits there on the other line and listens to me. I've never felt so lucky to have someone so great as Wyatt.
"Thank you, Wyatt." I blurt out.
"For what?"
"For always being there for me." I chuckle.
"I could say the same for you." He smiles.
"I'm really grateful to have you, Wyatt. As my best friend and my boyfriend." I blurt out.
"Me too, Holly." He said as he faces me. "You don't know how grateful I am for you." He says, softly.
He stares into my eyes as I found myself leaning in closer to his face. He started to lean in closer too, making my heart flutter. I feel his lips touch mine as he kissed my lips softly. He holds my cheek gently as I kiss him back, our lips moving in sync.
I started to feel something, different. My heart started to beat faster than the usual. I feel as if my insides were gonna burst out of joy. This is so unusual because I've never felt something so strong before.
We slowly pulled away as he looks into my eyes with admiration. He closes his eyes for a second and takes a deep breath.
"I love you, Holly." He blurts out.
Suddenly, my heart bursts in joy. I sat there, frozen and shocked. I was too overwhelmed, I didn't know what to say. I feel so much emotion inside of me that I couldn't even make out a single word. But there's this one dominant feeling that is bursting inside of me. And that is love.
"Wyatt-"
"Holly, I want you to know you are the greatest thing that has ever happened in my life. You make me so happy and you mean so so much to me." He interrupts me.
And with all my heart, I replied, "I love you too, Wyatt."
