I woke up from what felt like a couple hours rest feeling very disorientated and confused. I looked around the room I was in to see I was laying in a small uncomfortable bed in a very plain and boring hospital room, my arm was in a sling and my head was killing me as if I had a very extreme migraine. I tried to sit up but felt someone grab my hand, I looked next to me to see Shawn sat there, he looked very pale and had huge purple eye bags and looked as if he hadn't slept for days, his skin was freezing when he grabbed ahold of me, normally he is warm and welcoming, but today he was freezing, as cold as ice! I looked over to him and smiled weakly, although my smile soon faded when I saw that he had a huge cast on his left leg and cuts and scratches all over his hands and face, he also had red puffy eyes filled with water, as if he had been crying. "Alysia" he said shakily, I smiled when he said my name "Shawn what happened?!" I asked confused, tears started to quickly roll out of his eyes and stream down his face, although I saw a huge smile spread across his face "what's wrong?" I asked gently pulling him in for a hug but so I wouldn't hurt myself or him anymore so than we already have. He pulled away slowly and wiped the escaped tears from his face "why are you crying?" I asked, again attempting and finally managing to sit up, he took a deep breath, then exhaled heavily "I thought you forgot me" he muttered, I looked at him confused "what do you mean, why would I forget you?" I asked, he then told me how the doctor said that I had broke my arm, which is why it was in a sling (although I still needed a cast) and had damaged my head pretty badly and had minor memory loss. "Well if that happened to me, then what the hell happened to you?!" I asked, he sighed but chuckled slightly at my comment
"Surprisingly I only broke my leg and got a few cuts and bruises on my arms and face, but I guess you were on the side of the car that got hit so maybe that's how you damaged your head" he said, I nodded but then asked in confusion "what do you mean I was on the side of the car that got hit?" He sighed and shook his head
"You don't remember what happened do you?" I shook my head in embarrassment, he then rubbed his cold thumb back and fourth on my small hand "we were in a car crash Alysia"

Shawn's p.o.v (you weren't expecting that!) :
"What do you mean we were in a car crash? Shawn what happened?" Alysia said freaking out "calm down sia, let me explain what happened" I said, I cupped her face and looked her in the eyes when I said that to calm her, and it did help. "So, I picked you up from school and was taking you out on a surprise trip to get your mind off things"
"Nate" she said, I nodded slowly
"And we were talking and we got lost in each others eyes, I had a massive urge to kiss you right then and there but I knew I shouldn't, so I didn't" she nodded "and as we were talking we heard a loud and horrible beeping noise from another car..."
**flashback to the car crash**
we got lost in eachothers eyes, that was until we heard a loud and brutal beeping, I was still looking at alysia, whilst she looked at the road, until I saw her face change from happy to terrified and heard her shout "OMG SHAWN MOVE" I looked at the road and gasped loudly "SHIT!" I shouted as i turned the car, as i did so it fell onto its side and screeched as it skidded along the road, I no longer had control of the car, I looked at alysia and saw her terrified face look out of the window which was now above her and saw a car coming towards us, I saw her close her eyes and felt her grab my now shaking hand, just waiting for this to be over...
**end of flashback**
"Oh my gosh" alysia gasped as I finished explaining how we ended up in the hospital "I'm so sorry Shawn" she said shakily, I held both her hands in mine "why are you apologising it was my fault not yours, I'm the one that was driving, for all I know I could've killed us... i honestly thought that would be it" I soon felt more tears stream down my face, I didn't cry much but when I did I would usually be alone, although now I was crying my eyes out to the girl I have the biggest crush on.

The doctor soon walked in the room and asked how we both were, we both said we were okay and I also said how Alysia remembered me but not the crash, but the doctor said that he expected that anyway and that tomorrow she would be able to leave, the doctor left the room and I looked at the time on my phone, it was 1:00am "I should probably go back to my hotel as it's 1:00am, but I'll visit you again later and hopefully you'll be able to go home, although you won't be able to go back to school for a week" I said, pushing myself off the small uncomfortable chair and onto holding my crutches "wait, what day is it?" Alysia asked
"Thursday" I told her, she looked shocked but just shook it off, I leaned over her and gently kissed her forehead as I hopped (with the crutches) to the doorway, I pushed the door open and was about to walk out until Alysia called me again, I turned around to face her "where am I supposed to stay? My stuff is at Nates, I remember everything that happened with him" she said, I nodded
"When the police arrived at the crash they phoned your emergency number from your phone, which was your dad and when we came to the hospital he met me and asked why Nate wasn't with us and why he hasn't heard from Nate for a few days so I explained to him everything that happened and he went to yours and Nates and took all your stuff back to your parents house, so now you'll be like a normal 16 year old and actually living with your parents" I told her, she nodded in response
"Thank you Shawn" she said gratefully, I nodded and then walked out the hospital room to head back to the hotel across the street.
