12. That's Life

I wrote this song after I'd been told the simple answer anyone could give to why we go through hard times. You could guess which two words they were. I'd been so tired and upset at the answer and I knew I had to do something about the meaning behind the answer. When someone is going through something personal and hard for them to deal with, this answer is ridiculously heartless. People who are going through dark times don't need a direct nor specific answer from you. They need hope. There are much greater things to life than what they're going through and they need to be reassured that. Life is hard, we all obviously know that, but that's not all that it is. I wrote this song as an attempt to try and change the meaning and an attempt to give hope. I believe one amazing voice who'd bring this to life beautifully would be the lovely P!nk. This is for you.
