Official Names: Transsexual, Transgender, Transvestite
Trans: Meaning Beyond, Across, Through, Changing Thoroughly, Transverse; All in Latin
Colours: Light Blue, Pink, White, Pink, Light Blue. The person who created this flag (a trans woman) claimed that the Light Blue stripes are to represent the traditional colour for baby boys, the pink stripes are to represent the traditional colour for baby girls, and the white is to represent intersex, transition, gender neutral, or genderless.
Transvestite: Someone who dresses and acts in the way that could typically be used by the opposite sex. Some might see them as a cross-dresser or a tomboy/tomgirl.
Transgender: Someone who identifies as the opposite gender of the one they were born with.
Transsexual: Someone who identifies as the opposite gender of the one they were born with, but use medical assistance to change their gender.
Other terms: Trans (Short for Transvestite, Transsexual, or Transgender), ftm (Female to Male Transgender), mtf (Male to Female Transgender), Transition (The duration of the change)
Extra info: If you are trans, you can still believe there are only two genders. You can still be Bi, you don't have to be Pan. You can still be any sexuality you want. The only difference is your gender. So if you're ftm or a transgender male and only attracted to males, you'd be gay. If you're mtf of a transgender female and only attracted to females, you'd be lesbian.
