The next day arrived too quickly for the Kryptonian as the sun shined through her bedroom window. Kara yawned as she rose out of bed, feeling her powers grow stronger with every waking moment. After doing her usual routine, Kara decided to make her way over to soon-to-be L-Corp and visit Lena, before her ceremony at midday. She checked her phone and found a message with an attached photo from Alex.

Alex: Hey Kara, we managed to extract a fingerprint from one of the drones you and Clark destroyed. His name is John Corben, a hitman for hire. We will have agents all around the venue for today's ceremony but we need you to keep an eye out for him in case he strikes today. I have a bad feeling that he will. Be safe, love you.

Kara replied with a quick thanks, love you too x, before she flew over the city, detouring so it would take longer to reach L-Corp

Kara replied with a quick thanks, love you too x, before she flew over the city, detouring so it would take longer to reach L-Corp. She really needed to think for a moment.

This new life that she had started has had many ups and downs, but Kara wouldn't change any of it. She did often wonder though what life would have been like it if Krypton did not explode, and she never boarded that ship to be sent away. The Black Mercy showed me my deepest desire; to see my family again. But life was not perfect and it makes me understand how truly grateful I am to be apart of such a caring and loving family like the Danvers. Kara sighed contently. Everything was so much clearer to her when she was flying; it all made sense. It was often why when Kara felt upset, she would fly around the city for hours on end, thinking about the problems she was having. Her thoughts seemed to reach an abrupt end as Kara arrived near L-Corp.

"Ah, Ms. Danvers. Good to see you again." Lena smiled at the blonde reporter as they shared a firm handshake. "Yes same to you Lena. You can call me Kara remember?" Lena nodded and sat down in her chair, looking up at Kara waiting for her to sit down. "Yes of course, Kara. Now I suppose you are here because of my re-naming ceremony."

"Yes, I think you shouldn't go ahead with it. Someone did make an attempt on your life yesterday." Lena fidgeted with her pen and sighed as Kara sat down on the seat in front of her. "I have to turn this company around and make it into a positive. By re-naming Luthor Corp to L-Corp, it gives it a fresh start. This has to be done or this business will go down the drain within seconds."

"But- but wouldn't going along with the ceremony make you an easy target for the assassin? Re-naming your company is a great idea, but couldn't you wait for a more easier time?" Lena couldn't help but smile at how professional this young woman was being. "You know, for a new reporter, I think you're doing very well with the hard-hitting questions. I am surprised how Mr. Kent isn't with you. I was sure he was going to do a hatchet job on me-"

"Oh, he is probably doing that right now. But you did just try to skip my question." Kara noted furrowing her eyebrows at the Luthor, who chuckled quietly. "Yes, yes I did. Well I must say this again. I had told Supergirl this yesterday. We can't live in fear." She turned around to face the city. "Hiding away from the terrible things in this world will only bring them further into the open. I didn't have the best childhood, I felt alone for most of it." Kara used her x-ray vision to see the young Luthor beginning to tear up.
