The Earth's sun rose early, sending a shimmering blanket of light throughout the city. Citizens were out and about with their families, business partners drinking coffee during their meetings. However, up in Kara's apartment, it was silent. Peaceful. The blonde yawned, her eyes slowly opening and closing. She felt refreshed; everything with Lena went well last night. She thought back to how they finally kissed and how it felt like there was another yellow sun, giving her power and a new sight for life. Kara pushed her arm out sideways, only to hit something relatively hard. Kara's eyes grew wide, her same hand covering her mouth so she wouldn't squeak. A figure laid beside her, but not just any figure: a slender goddess.
"L- Lena." Kara felt her heart jump when the young Luthor parted her lips as a yawn took over her body. Lena fluttered her eyes open, a small smile reaching her face as she peered up at the shocked Kryptonian.
"Don't worry Kara, we didn't sleep together." Lena chuckled as Kara let out a breath she didn't know she was holding.
"Thank Rao! I- I.." Kara's voice died as Lena leaned up, planting a soft yet tender kiss on her lips.
"You're cute when you ramble. I need to get to work though." Lena sat herself up, reaching down off the bed for her clothes. Kara's cheeks were red when she looked over at the mirror. She also realised her glasses were not on her face, causing the blonde to have a mini panic attack.
"Oh Rao! Gods, w- where are they?" Kara scrambled out of the bed, rushing through her apartment in an attempt to find her missing glasses. Shit, Lena is going to think I am Supergirl.
Kara stopped in her tracks, mentally face-palming herself. Lena knows I'm Supergirl, duh. Kara turned around to find Lena holding up her glasses. "I'm guessing you're looking for these." Kara jumped up before running over to the CEO, pulling her into a tight embrace. "Yes, thank you." She gained courage and gently pecked the Luthor's cheek. "You look absolutely gorgeous Lena."
Kara pulled back, her arms hanging loosely around Lena's waist. The CEO blushed, her cheeks flaming. She lifted her hand and slid the glasses onto Kara's face, making sure to trail her finger down the hero's cheek and jawline. "As do you Ms. Danvers." This time, it was Kara's turn to blush. Lena leaned forward, pressing her lips gently onto Kara's. Kara deepened the kiss, her tongue begging for entrance, which Lena happily granted. The two melted into each other until they couldn't breathe any longer. Kara stared into the piercing emerald eyes that she had fallen so hard for over the past few months.
"What did I ever do to deserve you Lena?" Kara whispered as she stared lovingly into the eyes of her newfound lover.
"I ask myself the same thing darling." Lena gently placed a kissed on Kara's red cheek before sliding out of the Kryptonian's soft grip. "But, I have to go to L-Corp. A CEO's work is never done."
"Yes, right. Have a good day Lee!" Lena smiled back at her new partner before swiftly exiting the apartment.

Meanwhile:
"No, James. I am not doing this for you." Winn huffed, racking his hand through his hair in annoyance. James rolled his eyes and stepped closer towards his best friend. "Please, I have to do this. It's my calling."
"Oh, so you're calling is for you to go out and die? Because that is just great James, just great!" Winn slumped onto the couch, watching intently as James moved around the desk to sit beside him. "But that's why I have come to you, so you can help me."
"I- I can't-"
"You are the smartest person I know." James countered with a grin plastering his face. Winn chuckled quietly as he flicked his hand in front of his face.
