Lena sat in the V.I.P section of one of the most expensive cafe's in National City. The young Luthor wore a deep red dress, the hem reaching just above her knees and a black office jacket because of the chilly weather brewing. It had been cooler than expected, much to Lena's surprise. The news reporter the previous night had spoken of extremely warm temperatures, even Lena's weather machine hidden on the rooftop of L-Corp read the same thing. Just a cold snap, let's hope it changes soon.

The CEO was pulled out of her thoughts upon seeing the blonde that ruled her heart walk through the glass doors of the cafe. Lena removed herself from her seat, pulling Kara into a friendly hug, both women holding each other for longer than a friendly hug should. "Kara I'm so glad you're here!" Lena leaned back, her arms loosening around the reporter's waist but not moving out of her grasp. Kara smiled, her heart racing a mile a minute. "Lena, thank you for being here. Although," Kara peered around the room, "this place is far too fancy for a café, Lena you didn't need to invite me here."

"Anything for you Kara.." Lena whispered under her breath, her thoughts accidentally revealing themself. If Kara was any normal person, she wouldn't have heard. However, Kara's ears pricked up slightly, her lips forming a dazzling smile and her cheeks going three shades of pink. Although Kara didn't have all of her powers in this moment with Lena, her super-hearing came back earlier in the morning. "Shall we sit?" Kara nodded, placing her bag onto the grey flooring then taking her seat. Lena followed suit before leaning forward, her elbows grazing the tablecloth. "So, Kara," the blonde turned her head to face Lena, "where have you been for the past week?"

Kara had to think for a moment trying to remember what Alex had told her. "Don't forget, Lena thinks you were staying with our mother because she was in an accident. Also, be careful. You don't have your powers back yet Kara, don't go doing anything excessive." Kara sighed internally before smiling, hoping Lena didn't notice the slight change in her body language. "Well, I- my adoptive mother got into this huge accident with another driver, so I fle- I- drove down to Midvale to look after her. Thank golly, she only had a few scratches and bruises. The other guy, not so lucky." Kara pulled out her sad eyes at Lena, knowing the Luthor wouldn't let her continue. "He is currently in the hospital.. I-"

"Kara, you don't have to speak about this if it pains you so. But," Lena gently took Kara's hands in her own, "if you need to talk about anything, I will be here for you." Kara sighed contently, loving the closeness between her and Lena. Kara's eyes stared down at their linked hands, her lips forming a cute smile. Lena realised in this moment was if someone were to take a photo of the two together, this could be a compromising position for both of the women. This caused Lena to quickly yank her hands away and grab the drinks menu. "Um, Caramel Macchiato?" Kara's jaw dropped. "You know my favourite drink?"

Lena chuckled nodding. She flicked her hand towards a waiter who walked over to the two women. "Two Caramel Macchiato's Mr. Drake."

"Yes Ms. Luthor." The waiter, now known as Mr. Drake wrote the order down and handed it over to the barista. Kara sniffled for a moment before mentally smacking herself. Crap, I'm getting sick again. Lena noticed the sniffle and pulled a tissue out from her bag. "Here, the weather must be getting to you."

"Yeah it is, I never get sick." Lena chuckled at Kara's little remark. "Must be your lucky day then." Lena smirked, but frowned when Kara playfully slapped her arm. "Ow.." She pretended to be hurt and watched as Kara's eyes go wide. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry Lena. I didn't mean to-"

"Kara, Kara, it's okay. I was only joking." Lena laughed, resting her hand back onto Kara's hand. Kara's breath hitched for a moment before she exhaled deeply. Luckily for the young hero, the waiter came back with the coffees. "Thank you." Kara smiled at Mr. Drake who happily returned the gesture. In Kara's peripheral vision, she couldn't quite place it but she thought she saw Lena's eyebrows furrow in anger. However, as soon as Kara turned her head to Lena, the CEO had a bright smile on her face. Was she jealous..? Of me or Mr. Drake?
