"Look at that boy." Your best friend says.
You follow her gaze to see a black-haired boy walking your way. "Cute." You agree.
"Cute? He's hot."
"Agreed." You laugh.
"Let's go get Starbucks?"
"Sure."
You follow her to the Starbucks and let her order for you. She insists on paying as well, but you slip money into her purse without her realizing.
You sit at a table outside, laughing and talking.
"Excuse me?" A voice says.
You turn away from your friend's wide-eyed expression to look behind you. The boy you'd been talking about earlier was standing before you.
"Hi, I'm Leo. Could I possibly get your number?"
"Um..." You say awkwardly.
"Yeah, you can." Your friend says for you.
You manage to nod in agreement.
"Cool." He smiles.
You give him your number and he shoots you a grin before walking away. "I'll call you sometime, beautiful. Enjoy your day."
"He's not gonna call." You say in response to your friend's amazed expression.
"He will." She counters.
He calls that night.
