It's been an hour or so and they were so close, they could feel it in their bones. They were almost there.  Diamond and Bob walked together, they knew it could be the last they'll ever see each other,  so they savored every moment with each other. Gerard and LynZ held hands, Mikey arm was around around around Alicia waist, Ray put his arm around Christa's neck and Christa put his arm around his waist, and Frank and Jamia stayed together, holding hands with their fingers intwined. Matt walked next to Gerard and LynZ and started up some small talk.

"Damn," he said, "I can't believe we're actually doing this!"

"Well, believe it buddy," LynZ smiled.

"It's a shame, thouh," Matt added solemnly.

"How?" Gerard asked.

"There were so many people back there," Matt frowned.

Gerard patted his back, "They didn't want to be saved."

A moment of silence followed soon after.

They still kept walking. Though, something felt different. Something felt wrong. It just didn't seem right. Matt had stopped the group, he looked like he was hiding something. Diamond clutched Bob's arm tighter, and Bob looked at her with his bright blue eyes. She looked up at him worried, and he returned with a stern and strong look. Which made Diamond feel safer.

"I've got to be honest with you guys," Matt started, "I'm not who you think I am."

Gerard giggled, "Dude, what the fuck are you talking about?"

"Tell me, Gerard," he asked, "What happens if you kill something that's already dead?"

Gerard stood in silence, puzzled.

"They cease to be anything but a memory," Matt smiled.

Diamond's grip on Bob became tighter.

"What the fuck are you emplying?" LynZ started.

"I was never meaning to leave the parade," Matt stated.

"What?" Diamond spoke out.

"Who do you think ratted you guys out to Mother War?"

Everyone stood in awe. Silence fell over them as Matt explained his true intentions.

"The group I was with never existed, and I never ran away. My job has always been and always will be finding lost parades and bringing them back to Mother War. I'm not your friend. You guys are so fucking gullible, all of you fell for it... Except for one."

He walked to Diamond.

"You didn't believe me for a second. You saw right through me. All those questions you asked me of where I was from and how I survived. You were suspicious, but what could you do? Nothing."

Diamond looked at him with grimace.

"Everyone wouldn't believe you if you said anything, anyway. I knew I had to get rid of you. You were a beacon of hope for them, a rebellion against Mother War. I tried to get you alone, but you were always with them. That's why I got the parade to find you so that you would be seperated, but it didn't work. I needed to get rid of you as soon as humanly possible. So, I made myself known. I figured that I would do more damage in the group than outside. But my efforts were useless. Time was running out, and I knew I had to get rid of you quick. So, here we are. Let's see if we can prove my theory about killing a person who i already dead. COME OUT AND SEIZE THESE RUNAWAYS!"

Suddenly, a group of nine men from the forest attacked Diamond's friends and pinned them down, so that they wouldn't interfere with what would happen next. Matt grabbed Diamond from behind as she watched her friends squirming helplessly before her. Matt pulled a gun out of his jacket and put it against Diamond's right temple.

"Goodbye Diamond, it was a pleasure meeting you," Matt smiled as he cocked the loaded gun and put his finger on the trigger.

Before he could pull the trigger, Bob interupted.

"Stop!" Don't you fucking shoot her!" He yelled as tears ran down his face, "Take me! Shoot me instead?"

"Ooooh," Matt cooed, "How is that going to help? She's the one I need, not you."

"Just let her go!" Bob cried.

"Killing you would be fun," Matt smiled, "What's the harm of killing both of you?"

He walked towards Bob as he held Diamond gruffly around the neck. Then, he pointed his gun towards Bob. A sick smile stretched across his face as he did so. He savored every moment of this,

"What the fuck are you waiting for?" Bob yelled as tears ran down his face, "PULL THE TRIGGER, BITCH!"

"NO!" Diamond yelled and cried, "Shut the fuck up, Bob!"

Diamond cried, but instead of feeling helpless, she mustered up all her courage and while Matt was distracted by Bob, she stomped down on his foot. Matt yelled in pain, and then, Diamond heard a bang. Following the bang, was Bob's gut-wrenching scream. Matt had dropped the gun, but shot Bob. She kicked Matt in the groins and he fell to the ground. Then, she ran to the gun, but was tripped by Matt, but that didn't stop her. She craawled as quickly as she could to the gun, but Matt grabbed her by the ankles and tried to pull her towards him. But, Diamond got the gun and pointed it towards him. Matt, then let go of her feet, and scooted away from her.

"Okay," she yelled, "I've had enough of this fuckery."

She then, pointed the gun at the paraders that were holding her friends down.

"Get the hell out or I'll shoot every one of you to obscurity!" She yelled. Then, all of them scurried away.

Soon, they all let go of her friends, and scurried off. All except for Matt. Gerard stood up and brushed himself off and walked over to her along with LynZ, Mikey, Alicia, Jamia, and Frank. Gerard held his hand out to Diamond.

"Hey," he said, "give me the gun, I'll handle it from here, just go to Bob."

"Okay," Diamond replied as tears ran down her face. Diamond handed the gun to Gerard, and stood up to walk to Bob.Ray and Christa stayed by Bob, and she kneeled down to Bob. There was a bullet wound on his chest and blood rushed out of it. Ray had started to put pressure onto the wound, and Christa ripped off a piece of her t-shirt and gave it to Ray who unbuttoned Bob's jacket. Diamond raised Bob's head and let it rest on her lap.

"Hey," Diamond cried, "I'm so sorry."

"No," Bob gasped, "It's not your fault, it's my fault. I should've just shut the fuck up."

"Thank you," Diamond smiled as tears fell down onto Bob, "Thank you for everything."

"Man," Bob smiled, "Shut up and kiss me."

Diamond lowered her head, and her lips met Bob's lips. They kissed for as long as they could.

"Why?" Diamond smiled.

"If I die right now," Bob smiled, "I want you to be the last thing I'll see."

"Oh my God, Bob," she smiled, "you're going to be okay. Don't talk like that."

Bob wiped the tears off of Diamond's face, "I want you to kiss me until I die."

"I love you so much, Bob," Diamond smiled, crying harder.

"I love you too, Diamond," Bob gathered all his strength and raised his head up to kiss Diamond again. This time, it was his last kiss.

When Diamond had noticed, she started crying and shaking Bob. All the color and warmness left Bob's face, and he began to grow cold. She let out an anguished cry and she felt something inside her die.

"I love you so much, Bob," Diamond whispered through muffled tears.
