I wake up in Shawn's arms and I stretch. He releases me and I head downstairs where no one is. Dad is working more due to recent wolf activity, the pack. Jordan and Blake are now living together in their own house a couple blocks away. "What's on the agenda for today?" I ask.

"Maybe we could visit your mother," he suggests.

"When?"

"We could leave today and come back after the weekend so for only 3 days today, tomorrow and Sunday." I nod my head and I go to call my mom.

"Hey mom," I say when she picks up.

"Kaitlyn, how's my baby?"

"Fine. What would you say to a surprise visit this weekend?"

"Sounds great, I'm off until Tuesday." I told her that we'll be leaving today and should be in Toronto at around 12:00 am. I then call my dad and I tell him my plans and he agrees.

I pack a duffle bag with a few outfits, some pyjamas and money. Shawn then goes over to his house to pack and let his family know his plans. He puts his bag in the back and he heads to the airport. After Shawn got back, he gave me the rest of my birthday presents back and from his mom was 2 tickets to Toronto for whenever I wanted to just go and visit my mom.

We board the plane after going through security and we leave on time. We land in Toronto shortly after 12:30 am. My mom is there waiting for us at the terminal. I run to her and I give her a big hug. Shawn walks over and shakes her hand. "Your hands are like ice Shawn."

"Mom, I have something I need to tell you," I say. I haven't gotten around to telling her about my engagement.

"What's that sweetie?" she asks, her eyes shifting between Shawn and myself.

"Well, Shawn and I are sort of engaged," I spit out. Her face lights up into a mix of all the happiest of emotions.

"My baby girl is going to get married!" she squeals. "When is the wedding?"

"It's going to be August 5th," I say and her eyes widen.

"That soon? But your still my baby."

"I know but I just don't want a huge wedding, immediate family and close friends." She nods her head and we head to her apartment.

"I only have the two bedrooms but I don't know how I feel about you two sharing a room," she says.

"It will be fine, I promise all we will do is sleep and the door will remain open at all times. Except when changing separately of course."

"Sounds good to me," she agrees. Shawn puts our bags in my old summer bedroom and I instantly fall asleep when my head hits the pillow.

I wake up to the smell of bacon and maple syrup. I stagger out of the room and I see Shawn cooking bacon and pancakes. My mom is sitting on a stool and eating. I walk up behind Shawn and wrap my arms around him and then he puts a piece of bacon in my mouth.

"Morning baby," mom says.

"Good morning." After Shawn puts the final pancake on a platter he turns around to face me.

"Morning love," he says.

"Morning Shawn," I say and he places a soft kiss on my lips. My mom gushes and I blush.

"You two are such an adorable couple." Shawn then wraps his arms around me and just holds me. Then my stomach growls and my hunger forces me to break away.

"Eat," he instructs. I then load up a plate with bacon and a couple of pancakes. I then sit down beside my mom and I eat.

"So what do you guys wanna do today?" Mom asks.

"I don't know whatever you want to do," I say, shrugging my shoulders and then putting a bite of pancake in my mouth.

"We could go shopping!"

"For what?"

"How about whatever I feel like buying," she says and I laugh. We get into her car. Shawn and me sitting in the back. She pulls into a parking spot at the outlet mall and we get out.

We have walked around a bit and so far my mom has bought nothing. She finally stops in front of a bridal shop. I now understand that she wants to help me pick a wedding dress. "Mom, why did you bring me here?" I ask even though I knew the answer.

"Oh can we please pick you a wedding dress?" she asks giving me puppy dog eyes.

"Fine," I give in. We walk in and I'm immediately swept away by three women. They each grab an armful of dresses and I go into the changing room.

After an hour trying on dresses, I still haven't found the one. I'm down to three dresses but I didn't like any I've tried so far. I pick up an ankle length off white silk dress with lace backing and 3/4 sleeves. I take one look in the mirror and I immediately know it's meant for me. I walk out with tears in my eyes and my mom starts tearing up too.

"Oh baby, this dress was made for you," she says wiping a few tears from my cheeks. I look over at Shawn who's jaw is hanging on the floor. I walk over to him and he composes himself.

"So, what do you think of the dress?" I ask.

"Can I marry you on the spot?" he jokes. I laugh at how cute he is.

"Well I do have to buy the dress first you know." He places a kiss on my lips and then groans.

"What's wrong?"

"I just can't wait to marry you," he says.

"Me too. Now let's pay for this dress," I tell him as I head back into the changing room. I put on my clothes and I hang the dress back on the hanger and we go to the check out.

"That'll be $496.73. How will you be paying?" the cashier says. My mom pulls out her credit card and pays for it. The cashier puts it in a dress bag.

"Thank you mommy," I say. We then head across to the shoe store and I try on at least 5 different pairs. I choose silver 1 inch heels. Next we head a couple stores down to the jewelry store. There not only did I get a small pearl necklace and matching earrings but Shawn and I got our wedding bands. The bands are plain sterling silver but so gorgeous.

I hang up the phone after telling Georgie what my mom bought us today. I told her that this could be her wedding present but she says that she has something special for me. She said I'll get it on my wedding day.

"Oh, I almost forgot your graduation gift," she says. She leaves the living room and when she comes back, there is a fairly large box in her arms. She places it on the table in front of me. When I open it, inside is a brand new Apple laptop with a carrier.

"Thank you so much mom, I love everything you got me," I tell her and I give her a big hug. I then look at the time on my phone and I see that it's almost 11:00. "It's late and I'm getting tired so I'm going to go to sleep." Shawn grabs my hand and we walk to my bedroom and again, as soon as my head hits the pillow, I'm out.
