Lunar Eclipse

Switzerland

I wake up and I realize Shawn isn't where he was. "Shawn? Shawn!" I call out.

"What?" he asks emerging from my bathroom.

"I just thought you left," I say and I then notice he's only in a towel. I couldn't help but stare at his muscles. "What were you doing?" I ask when I clear my head.

"Taking a shower. Why?" Then I look up at his face and I see his hair wet and matted down.

"Oh," I say looking down as I blush. He goes back in and then is back out in a pair of shorts but no shirt. He places his hand under my chin and raises my head.

"You do know that it's okay to stare at me, right?" I nod my head blushing even more. "You're adorable when you blush, I'm going to miss that." He then places his lips on mine and just as I go to knot my fingers in his hair, Jordan bursts through my bedroom door.

"Good morning my 'rent free sister," he says. When he sees Shawn, his jaw drops. "It's, it's, it's, it's Shawn's abs!"

"Don't you have a boyfriend? At your own place I might add," I tell him. Shawn then goes into the bathroom and comes out wearing a t-shirt.

"Yeah, I do."

"So go do stuff with him."

"I already did this morning," he says smirking and blushing.

"Gross! I meant like watch a movie with, not that!"

"Isn't that what you were doing?" he asks.

"No!"

"Oh. Well I'll see you later," he says and heads back to his house. Shawn then picks me up and carries me downstairs.

"Did I mention that the training starts in half an hour?" he adds.

"No but I can just eat a bowl of cereal, I'm not that hungry anyway."

"It's fine, they can wait." I shake my head and I grab a bowl of cereal. I finish in three minutes and I head back upstairs to change.

I come out of my bathroom in black capris, a red t-shirt and grey sneakers. I get into Shawn's car and he speeds off to wherever they're training.

Shawn parks at the end of a road and I get out when he does. "Where are the others?"

"On the other side of these bushes," he says. He then puts me onto his back and tells me to close my eyes and it doesn't feel like he's running. The wind blowing my hair back is the only indication. "You can look again."

I open my eyes and in front of me is a huge clearing. There are 5 other vampires I don't know and large wolves. I notice the one in the centre of all of them, his fur is dark brown mixed with a russet colour. The wolf walks over to me and I recognize the brown eyes as Griff's. "Hey Griff," I say. He nods his head and then he licks me with his slimy wolf tongue.

"Kaitlyn, come meet everyone." I walk over and he introduces the vampires. The two females, one is tall with short red hair is Shannon and the shorter one with waist length caramel hair is Becky. The three males, the first one who is as tall as Shawn with short blonde hair and has huge muscles, is Damien. The second one is short like me, has a medium build and shoulder length chestnut brown hair is Austin. The last one, who is obviously Lake, has curly black hair and a medium build. All five of them have the same pale skin as Shawn and golden yellow eyes.

"Nice to meet you all," I say.

"Hello Kaitlyn," Shannon says and I shake her hand.

"Same to you," Becky says but she doesn't shake my hand.

"Hello gorgeous," Damien says and picks me up into a hug. Austin ignores me completely.

"Hello there Ms. Little," Lake says and gives me a hug. Then Griff goes into some bushes and comes out in jean shorts. He then introduces the wolf pack. "The tan wolf is Tyler, the black wolf is Jack, the grey wolf is Ian, the white wolf is Rachel and I'm the alpha wolf."

"A girl? I thought only the men of your tribe were werewolves?"

"She's the first female so we don't know what to expect." Then Lake calls for everyones attention.

"Listen, there a few rules when fighting newborns. First, do not let them get their arms around you they will kill you. Second, don't go for the obvious kill, that's what they want. And last but not least, never let your guard down. Master these and you might survive."

The vampires took turns fighting and the wolves just watched. Griff laid by my side when Shawn was up practice fighting. At around noon, Lake called the practice to an end. Shawn drove me home and when we get there, Griff is already there, waiting.

"Listen Kaitlyn, I need to talk to you."

"No you don't, she needs to eat so if you'll excuse us," Shawn says shoving past Griff. Griff grabs a hold of Shawn's shoulder. "Let me go you filthy mutt!"

"Guys shut up! No more fighting okay. From now on I'm Switzerland."

"Switzerland?" Shawn asks confused.

"Cause Switzerland is neutral okay," I explain. They nod their heads and I send Griff away. I go into my house and Shawn is making me some lunch.

"I'm making you grilled cheese," he says as I sit at the kitchen table.

"Thank you baby," I say and he smiles at me. This is going to be a long week.
