"I am what I am and you can't take it away with all the words and sneers at your command"
- Cherrie Moraga, This Bridge Called My Back
_____
It had now been a whole day since Dinah was taken into questioning. Normani had avoided all contact with Ally and Lauren. From the information, Dinah provided the police now had the means to take the case to court. It had gone from a small investigation to a full-blown court case. One which the Cabello's agreed must be over before they buried their daughter. They didn't want her death still being looked at under a magnifying glass even after the funeral. By the fourth day of the investigation, there had been major headway made. All three of their original leads had been proven to be accurate with all three now having been questioned.
Normani had finished reading her letter but she was yet to confront anyone else. The odd person made it into the note but the main players were people Normani called friends. Dinah's family struggled with money so any possibility of a good lawyer was out of the window, instead, she was saddled with a state awarded slacker with minimal experience. She had been cut off from the group as soon as word of her statement made its rounds. It was safe to say Lauren couldn't be angrier at the taller girl. Not only did she get the case to trial but mentioned her name.
Now the green eyed Latina sat in a questioning room not saying a word as the officers blasted questions at her from all directions. She was lucky, she had money, she had a good lawyer. She sat with a smug look on her face as she watched the officers end the recording. She never spoke a word.
As she walked out of the room to see Dinah with her family crying. She showed no remorse as she walked past her. Not looking a second time she walked out of the station proud as punch with herself.

"Don't you think this has gone far enough. Now you want me sending death threats!" Dinah threw her arms up in disbelief with the girl in front of her.
Lauren smirked as she clapped slowly. "Finally you get it, good to know you are competent"
Dinah sighed as she rolled her eyes at Lauren. "I'm not doing it." She had a straight face as she folded her arms in front of her chest.
"Yes you are, or your parents will find out exactly how you made all that money so quickly"
Dinah grimaced as she listened to Lauren's words. "You can't..."
"Can't what, tell them about your act of service. I think they'd be proud, their eldest daughter selling drugs for money. Better than your body, right?"
Dinah raised her hand and slapped the older girl across her face. The arrogant look on her face was replaced by anger as she straightened up. She lunged forward and held Dinah by the collar of her top, getting close to her face she spat. "Touch me again bitch, and I'll have your body in a cast."

Dinah looked at the envelope in front of her. Ally had warned her what it would be before she had been questioned. She didn't want to read Camila's harsh words. She didn't want to know what Camila thought about her. However, the case of Lauren's blackmail was going to be dismissed if she didn't have proof. She was awaiting charges, charges which meant prison time. That didn't mean she couldn't help bring Lauren to justice. This letter could hold enough ground to be used as evidence. It could be incriminating enough on its own.
Dinah,
We never spoke. We never will. But please do the right thing. You know what you did was wrong but I know it wasn't your fault. Lauren has something over you, doesn't she? If she does no matter what it is please come clean. Don't let her blackmail ruin your life like it did mine. Don't let her have control over you. I don't forgive you for everything you did to me but I can overlook that if it means you'll find it somewhere in your heart to put a stop to Lauren's cruel ways.
After she found my journal she would blackmail me, make me do awful things, make me feel small and defenceless. I imagine that is how you feel right now. She never did give me a reason as to why she would blackmail me, it destroyed me. I wanted to know why she did what she did, what caused her hatred for me, but now I never will know.
Don't be like me. Please, do something about it.
Camila
P.S. Ally isn't your friend neither is Lauren
