"Truth only means something when it's hard to admit"
- Nicolas Sparks, The Last Song
_____
Word spread around the town of the recent activities in the Camila Cabello case. Movement had been made towards one arrest, and a further charged. Normani never did get to confront Lauren about her wrong doings. She had been taken into custody for further questioning before anything had happened. Dinah pled guilty to her charges and came clean about her past with drugs. She now awaited her sentencing. Ally was the one reaping the benefits of her friend's misfortune. She pleased ignorance around the school and everyone felt sympathetic towards her. She for the first time ever was more than a side-kick, she was the ring leader.
The guilt never left Normani. A week after Camila's death and she still re-read the part of her letter about herself. She couldn't believe how much she had missed, let alone all that she had caused. She watched from the side-lines as Lauren's reputation was slashed, Dinah's future ruined and Ally went on as if nothing had happened. Ally might have been able to live with herself but Normani couldn't.
Applications for universities were due in, universities her and Camila had dreamt of ever since they were little. They were to graduate together, go to uni together. Everything was supposed to be simple. Then high school came around and messed everything up. Now the universities she dreamt of suddenly weren't the ones she applied for. Opting to stay close wasn't given a second thought. Moving far away from everything was her new goal.
She wanted to say her two cents worth. She wanted to help bring justice. But that felt wrong, to bring justice on some but leave herself out. She felt as if she were to blame and for a part she was right. She knew deep down no matter what charges were brought upon Lauren her family would but her out of it. She only hoped that they would make her suffer some of the consequences.

By the end of the second week, everything has changed. The case was closed. The Cabellos could now lay their daughter in peace.
Ally, she was let off with a warning from the school. The new school bully. She had finally made it to the top of the social ranking.
Lauren, her parents bought her out of her charges. The Cabellos were too tired to argue with the Jaureguis. She did, however, have to complete five weeks of community service and ten acts of kindness.
Dinah, her sentencing had happened and she would face time behind bars. Due to her age, she would spend the time until she turned 18 in a juvenile detention centre before facing an evaluation of her sentencing. In the end, she was charged with involuntary manslaughter and possession with intent to sell of class c drugs.
Normani, she had kept her head down. Focussed on maintaining an average grade. She sent away her applications to different universities and dreamed of a fresh start. Now she sat alone in ger bedroom writing a letter. Camila's funeral was being held tomorrow and Normani had every intention to supply the Cabello's with the one thing they lacked from the case, an explanation. She told the whole truth. There was nothing else she could do. No matter how hard it was she wrote everything out, knowing that they deserved to know what drove their daughter to kill herself.
She would present it to them as one last act of apologising. One she had to do to take some of her guilt off of her shoulders. She couldn't let Camila fade into a ghost, just a girl who everyone referred to as She Who Left.

A/N: So this is the last proper chapter. There will be a chapter ten that will be the funeral/Normani's letter to the Cabellos. I know I've probably left some loose ends somewhere that I'm not realising or maybe I've confused people - I tend to do that sometimes in my writing. So if that is the case feel free to ask any questions on this chapter or the next one when I write it and I'll answer all that I can.
