Ch.17: Sage Is Weird

**A/N: I wrote another chapter. :) **

Lucifer knocks on the dark wooden door twice before it opens. Ace peeks out from Lucifer's chest to find himself at a new location. A long hallway and standing in front of a now open door.

"Oh, hello, lord Lucifer," A deep voice greets. His bright plum purple eyes shift down to Ace still in Lucifer's arms, a smile gracing his admittedly handsome face. "And this must be the famous, Ace, my new lord,"

Ace pulls himself out of Lucifer's arms, but Lucifer makes sure to connect their hands, linking their fingers together. Ace raises an eyebrow at the six-foot-tall man with black as night hair. He looks human, the most human he has seen anyone in Hell so far, besides Lucifer of course.

"Famous?" Ace questions with a raised brow. "What is that supposed to mean?"

The new man smiles wide. "It means, my young lord, that lord Lucifer told me lots about you last night. Although it was a quick chat, he still managed to tell me pretty much everything about you," He says with his head tilted to the side as if lost in thought.

"Yeah, yeah, so I'm in love with the boy, sue me," Lucifer grumbles with an adorable pout. Ace smiles at Lucifer and leans up on his toes to kiss his cheek.

"Names Sage, by the way," The demon greets. "May I shake your hand?" He asks as he sticks out his hand. He quickly glances at Lucifer to find him nod in approval before looking back to Ace.

"Uhm, do demons shake?" Ace asks confused as he stares at the demon's hand.

Sage chuckles deeply. "I don't follow the other demons, they're no fun, so I do my own thing,"

Ace snorts but extends his hand to shake the demon's hand anyway. "You are the weirdest demon I have met so far,"

"Have you met many?" He questions. "You probably ran into Tomato, but I cannot think of anyone else my lord would introduce you to,"

"Uhm, Tomato?" Ace questions confused. "You have the strangest named down here,"

Lucifer chuckles. "No, love, Sage calls his brother Tomato, his real name is Basil. You haven't officially met yet,"

"Oh, you mentioned a Basil before coming here. Was he the other demon, the red skinned one?" Ace asks as he looks up at Lucifer.

"Yes, he is Sage's elder brother," Lucifer confirms.

"Oh," Ace looks back to Sage and raises an eyebrow. "They don't look anything alike,"

Sage grins wide. "I know, I got the better genes," Ace rolls his eyes, only causing the demon to laugh. "I'm only kidding, but we have different fathers so we only share half-genes,"

"Oh," Ace mutters.

"Sage, we are here to pick up Maiz, how is she?" Lucifer finally cuts in.

Sage grins even wider. "Tempest and Maiz have become great friends already," He opens the door wider and steps back. "Please, come on in, my lords,"

Lucifer gently pushes Ace forward so Ace moves into the tiny room. The room is decent sized. A queen-sized bed in the middle of the room, a writing table filled with papers and pencils scattered atop it, and baby supplies everywhere. Ace is curious to find no baby crib among all the baby things, but he doesn't question it.

Ace smiles wide as he finds Maiz on her back on a blanket on the floor with another baby next to her. Both babies coo at each other and barely pay any attention to those around them. Sage is quick to drop to the ground and fall onto his stomach and stare at the two babies.
