It was later in the evening when Billie met her best friend Nicole at the karaoke bar. And as they waited for their other friends to arrive, she couldn't stop thinking about Chris, and his baffling farewell. She tried to brush it off because she knew she would never see him again. She didn't have that kind of luck.

"Don't tell me you're thinking about him again?" Nicole asked. She then kicked her hard in her shin.

"WHAT?"

"Don't tell me you're thinking about that cheating piece of shit again?"

"God no!" Billie replied.

Her ex was actually the furthest thing from her mind. She told Nicole that he had been texting her nonstop for two weeks, which was stupid that the poor bastard couldn't take the hint. But she didn't want to get into another bitch session about him, and suggested changing the subject.

Nicole gave her a brief rundown of her day as a makeup artist for a well-known talk show, and then asked Billie about her interview. She tried to play if off like it wasn't a big deal, but Nicole saw her fidgeting as if she was hiding something. At first she thought it was because of her nerves or the fact that the person she put questions to give her a hard time. But Billie assured her that wasn't the case.

"Then what's wrong? You're being weird." Nicole said.

"I'm not being weird."

"You are definitely being weird." Nicole said. She was always able to read her friend like a book. "Who'd you interview, anyway?"

"Chris Evans...you know he plays Captain America." Billie replied.

She tried to stay composed, but her cheeks grew red just mentioning his name.

"Holy shit! That's awesome. I bet he's sexy in person." Nicole said.

Billie wanted to tell her that was an understatement, but instead she downplayed his presence by saying he was actually a lot smaller in person. But she did admit that he still was pretty lean and smelled amazing.

"Wow, he must have really been something." Nicole said.

She could see her friend was hiding something and she saw the girly look in her friend's eyes, and knew she was sprung. But this was surprising because it took a lot to grab Billie's attention right off the bat.

"Let's just say he gave one hell of an interview." Billie said before taking a long sip of her cocktail.

"I bet!"

"Okay this is going to sound crazy, but I think he was flirting with me." Billie finally admitted.

She then told Nicole about how he bumped into her beforehand and how they had flirty conversation over coffee. She then revealed how he was going out of his way to touch her during the interview. She was just about to mention his cryptic goodbye, when she noticed Nicole rolling her eyes.
