Almost five years later
Jalaya runs around in the yard with all her kindergarten friends on her birthday. She runs behind a man screaming "Uncle Brandon, hide me from them". He hides her under the table and they laugh together joyously as his fiancée Deanna approaches kissing him on the lips. A couple walks up to them hand in hand thanking them for coming. The guy, Michael, shakes Brandon's hand and they go off to barbecue. The ladies talk of children and parties and fashion. They talk of weddings and advice.
No-one carries guns, only love in their hearts. Crazily, everyone in the yard is one family and they have all embraced it one way or another. After years of loss, everyone had finally gained one ultimate thing: happiness. The future was uncertain, but with the big family they had, everyone was fearless..
