I sprinted into the kitchen to find Maggie lying on the ground. "What the hell were you doing?" I yell. "I was um, trying to um, get a plate out of the cupboard?" She replies but it sounded more like a question. I raise an eyebrow at her. "Yeah, I was trying to get a plate out of the cupboard." She confirms. "So you decided to climb on the bench top?" I ask, still pretty suspicious. "It's not my fault I'm short." She mumbles. I laugh and decide to drop the subject, although I will be watching her more closely now. I reach a hand out to her. "Here, let me help you up." Ignoring my hand, she stands up and dusts herself off.

She begins to walk out of the room but stops and spins back around to look at me. "How much longer have we got left in the game?" "Eight days," I reply. "What's wrong sweetie, afraid you won't have enough time left to kill?" "Nope," She grins. "I'm just afraid you won't have enough time left to catch up." And with that she walked out of the room. Once I heard the front door close I made my way out to the lounge room and laid down on the couch. I flip the TV on and switch through the channels, trying to find something decent to watch. I finally settle on watching the 5 o'clock news on channel ten.

They are talking about all the recent disappearances and murders. Sure enough, Stephanie's parents are there crying about how their daughter is missing and if anyone knows where she is to notify the police immediately. I am the only person who knows where she is and I sure ain't telling the police. I press record, lean back and enjoy the show. They go through nearly all my victims from the past week, the weird thing is though, there were no people on the list that I didn't kill, which doesn't make sense because if Maggie had been killing as many people as she said she has been, there should be some people on here that I don't recognise. There is a chance that maybe she is killing people from outside the city limits, but I highly doubt that. And no offence to her but I don't think she's quite smart enough to choose victims who don't have any family or friends that can alert the police. Something strange is going on but I can't work out what it is. I feel like I'm missing something important. I grab a bottle of vodka and a pack of cigarettes and sit out on the back step. All this shit going on with Maggie is doing my head in. I plan on forgetting it, at least for tonight.
