Moving Day

Phil sat on the lounge floor, letting all the memories rush over him. He leaned against the wall, & shut his eyes. He knew the moving truck would be there any minute, but he couldn't move. He remembered moving into this place 5 years ago. He remembered signing the lease, & Dan being so excited. This was their first big move. Phil was so happy he had Dan by his side. He couldn't picture living alone. Having to do this all by himself, would have been too much. Phil felt bad for the new tenants that would be moving in. The neighbors weren't the easiest to deal with. Between the awkward sex noises, the constant drilling, & the traffic, it's a nightmare. He hoped the new tenants didn't have small children. They wouldn't be able to sleep with all the noise, & there isn't really any room to play outside. Phil thought back to all the videos & collabs they did in this place. They made a lot of great content in this apartment. Everyone who has ever been here, has fallen in love. Phil hated it though, he wished they had picked a better location. This would be their third time moving. It was getting to be over whelming. Phil didn't realize how much stuff they had. They also kept a lot of things from TATINOF as well. Phil just wanted to be settled in the new apartment already. He hated unpacking boxes. He wished box faries who unpacked everything for you exsited. It would make his life easier. Phil decided he wanted to leave a note behind for the new tenants. He wanted to share his tips & tricks to help make this apartment run smoothly. He grabbed a paper & pen out of the box & started writing. After finishing the note, he thought about where he should leave it. He knew he had to leave it somewhere the landlord wouldn't see it, but the new tenants would eventually find it. He decided to stick it to his bedroom ceiling. He knew the landlord wouldn't notice it up there. He looked around the room at all the boxes. He couldn't remember where he had put the tape. He didn't want to start unpacking everything, so he decided to see if Dan had any. He walked to Dan's room, & knocked on his door. Dan had decided to procrastinate, & left all his packing to the last minute. Dan opened his door, & asked Phil what he needed. Phil asked if Dan had any tape left. Dan grabbed him a roll, and asked about the paper he was holding. Phil told Dan that it was a note for the new tenants. He wanted to share tips & tricks they learned about this apartment over the years. Dan smiled at Phil. He always loved Phil's qurky ideas. Phil grabbed some tape, & headed to his room. When he got to the door, he froze. He forgot how big it was, when it was empty. All the memories he made in this room, came flooding back. He had to hold back tears. He walked into the middle of the room, & looked up. He decided to leave it right in the middle. He jumped up, and stuck it to the ceiling. He hoped the tape would hold. Dan stopped off at the doorway. He looked up & noticed Phil's note. He let Phil know the moving truck was here. Phil took one last look around the room, then whispered good-bye old friend as he walked out. Phil couldn't believe they were moving,... It felt like yesterday that had moved from Manchester,... Phil grabbed a box & headed for the truck. On to bigger & better things he told himself.
