Chapter 8

Nikole's Pov.

I woke up with my arms strapped to a board on a white chalky wall. "Well, hello hello." Said a deep familiar voice from the darkest part of the room. I sighed. "Dallas I presume?"

"You remember?"

"How could I not? YOU KILLED ME!"

I screamed at him. "Yeah, well look here you are a live.. Well sorta." He smirked. "Dallas what is this?" I say tugging at the chains I can't seem to break. "Oh don't you worry my little brother should be here any moment to rescue you. There's a slight problem with that.." He trailed off. "What are you talking about?" I say confused. "Oh well, as a vampire there are 4 ways I can kill you." I was startled than I remembered. Alex. "Your not gonna kill me." I smiled. "Why would I not?" He questioned. "Your not going to kill Alex's best friend." He stepped out of the light and rushed over to me right in my face and grabbed my throat. "Ah." Is all I can get out. "I don't give 2 craps about Alex." He growled and let go of my throat. I'm gasping for air now.

"You do though."

"How so? I could kill you right now without blinking."

"But you won't. Cause your in love with Alex and you don't want anyone to know you can care." He turned away. "Your wrong." He said blankly no emotion at all. "Am I? Kill me. Stake me in the heart right now."

He ran at me with a stake than stopped at my heart. "No." He dropped the stake and breathed heavily. *CRASH*

"Right on time Blake." Dallas turned around to see Blake. "Leave her alone." He yelled stepping torward me with each step. "Take one more step Blake and I kill her." Dallas picked up the stake and pointed at my heart. Blake stopped walking. Where is the humanity in Dallas? I know there is some to be found.

Blake's Pov.

He has a stake pointed at her heart. He wouldn't kill her.

"Dallas your mad at me for back in the 1820s. Nikole has nothing to do with our fights. Let. Her. Go." He stared at me for a long while. Than he smiled. "I'm not mad at you brother. I don't care don't you see?" He held out the hand with the stake and jabbed it into her arm. "AHHHH!" Nikole screamed. "Dallas STOP!"

"Make me!" I ran at Dallas full speed I pushed him into a brick wall and grabbed his neck. "I'm going to kill you." I said. He twisted my arm it snapped. "Ow." I said and smiled. He was already up and pointing the stake back at Nikole's heart. "I'll do it." He lifted up his arm and was about to stab her right at the last second. We all heard the piercing scream of Alex. "STOPPPP!" She yelled at the top of her lungs. Dallas even grabbed his ears as he dropped the stake I lunged at him and grabbed his neck. I held him against the brick wall. "Never touch her again." I dropped him and walked over to Nikole. "Hey.. Are you okay?"

"Yeah yeah. I'm healed. It's fine."

I unstrapped her from the board and helped her down. She was weak. Too weak. "Alex can you come here and help me carry her to the house?" I said looking up at Alex. "Yeah. Yeah." She walked over to Nikole putting her arm around her holding her up.

**** back at the house.****

"Was what Nikole said true Blake?" I heard Alex say. "Is what true?"

"Dallas.. He's in love with me?"

I hesitated. "Yes."

"But how? He doesn't even know me."

"That's the thing.." I replied. "Vampires before they even talk to the one they love we.. 'Stalk' them. Until we know everything and anything about them." I say. She shook her head. "I've never seen Dallas in my entire life."

"Alex.. Trust me. He knows you."

Alex's Pov.

"Alex.. Trust me. He knows you." Rang in my head all night. I lay on my back staring at my bedroom ceiling. Today was a hard day. I'm so tired but I can't seem to fall asleep. I swing my legs out of bed and walk to the bathroom. I switched on the bathroom light and looked into the mirror. My blonde hair was wavy as ever. I look down at the sink and heard something from behind me. "Alex.." My heart started beating rapidly. I slowly turn around to see the intruder. "Dallas?" I stare wide eyes at the vampire in my presents.
