Chapter 24.

Nikole's Pov.

I awoke in a small room. Little light shining in the room. I look around to see a small stool, words written into it.. With blood. I try to pull the chains off of me but nothing seems to work.. I'm not strong enough.

Maybe you are..

If I turn into a wolf there's no way these chains could hold me. The pain.. I couldn't break every bone in my body to break our of here. It's no use.

Blake would want you with him..

"Hello, Nikole." The girl I've heard many times spoke, the witch, the pain. "What do you want?" I growled, not removing my eyes from the floor. "Don't do anything stupid." She says slowly. Than I heard footsteps walking out the door and down a hallway.

She's talking about turning into a wolf.. It's a stupid idea. But it might just work. I think of what Alex would do.

Soon I find a crumbled up piece of paper I try to reach for it but my arms aren't long enough. I reach further, and further. Right when I thought my arm was gonna come off I hit the paper with my middle finger. Making it bounce toward me. I smile and grab it pulling it apart to reveal a note. It read,

'Nikole, it's me. Alex, I used a very unlikely spell to give this to you, Dallas, Blake, and I are coming to rescue you. Just stay alive until than. I love you, ~Alex.'

I smile and quickly thank god. I jolt my head up when I smell a warm, sweet smell. The aroma fills the room. I take a deep breath in than it starts to burn. Like hell.

I started coughing until I couldn't anymore. The smell made me sleep. I drifted off into blackness.. I had no doubt in my mind that the little girl was causing this.

Alex's Pov.

"I did it." I said, releasing a deep breath in. "I don't know if it made it or not. But we have to save her!" I half yell half talk quietly. I just need to know that Nikole was gonna come back.

Our flight had just landed in California. I took in the smell of the salt water and smiled. I just wish Nikole wouldn't have got in such a mess. I shook my head, "alright, do you think she could be in California?" Blake asked. He is as anxious to find her as me and Dallas combined.

"Well, speaking when I did the spell it didn't take much energy out of me. She must be around here. Right?" I looked up at Dallas, "right. So what we need to do is find her and bring her back to the beach house. And figure out what the kid/witch did to her."

We all nodded, "but.." Blake took a deep breath, "where could she be?" I think I know where. All eyes turned to me, I nodded. "When Nikole and I came to California we stayed in a cabin not to far away from here. If anything they need the power of when Nikole was a human to do what they plan to do."

"And what exactly do they plan to do?" Blake asked curiously. I looked from Dallas to Blake than exhaled, "they are going to reprogram her." Dallas and Blake looked at me, surprised. "To do what?" Asked the brothers simultaneously. "To kill me.." I said looking at the ground.

Dallas's Pov.

"No! We can't let that happen Alex. We are NOT going to let them ruin Nikole and try to kill you!" I said pointing my arms and shouting. "Calm down," Alex said, "we can always reverse it if we don't get there in time." I could tell Alex was lying, the way she wouldn't look into my eyes and the way she shuffled her feet. I wasn't going to let Nikole kill Alex. No way. Even if it meant Nikole dying herself.. All I had to do was pull her heart out. You can kill a vampire that way and also can kill a werewolf that way. No way can she survive this.

But.. Alex would hate me. It doesn't matter.. As long as she is alive. If Nikole is programmed to kill Alex.. I'll kill Nikole myself.

Blake's Pov.

It was silent for a really long time. Alex was nodding and Dallas was off in space thinking. I wonder what about. I lost the ability to read minds when I stopped drinking large amount of blood which keeps those powers available..

I broke the silence first, "where is this cabin Alex?"

"It's by Disney world. A few blocks down, right beside the sign of 'universal studios' and Walmart." She said, I could never remember that. Especially from when I was younger.

"Let's be on our way than.." I said, walking off and hailing a cab. When we got in we told the driver the directions.

I leaned my head against the window and whispered, "I'm coming to save you Nikole."
