What am i to do?

KAYLA'S POV

I am an ordinary teenager who has an ordinary family and an ordinary life. I have friends, good grades, and a loving family...so why does this happen to me.

I stand there just staring at my house, well, what I used to call a house...

30 minutes ago I was just laying in my bed when I could smell something that made me cough, so,I opened my door and this thick black smoke came rushing in and it was hard to breath, like some one had covered my mouth with a cloth.

I stumbled down the hallway calling my parents. I could not see where I was, I think I'm near the bathroom, I don't really know though.

Suddenly there was a loud 'thud' coming from down stairs, my parents came out of their bedroom while wrapping themselves with their robe.

"Kayla are you ok?"

"Yeh it's just very weird, why is it so dark?"

"Lets get out of here!"

They didn't even answer my question!

We all ran for the door when I looked at the kitchen,

"Flames!?"

"Oh my god our house is on fire!'

I ran faster because the flames where reaching the stove.

"Mum the house is on fire."

Once again, they didn't answer me!

'Shit!' I thought to my self,

"Come on kayla run faster, we are almost there."

My mum grabbed my arm and pushed me towards dad, the flames are rushing towards us!

As we reached the door something was wrong,

"Mum? where's dad?"

"I don't know sweety."

Firemen ran into the house with a hose and started on the fire.

But still no sign of my dad.

"Umm, excuse me if this is the wrong time, but are you kayla vetella?"

"Huh? oh yes I am."

"Are you alright?"

"I-I, I don't know, my dads still in the house, I don't think he hade it."

"I don't know what to say, sorry."

"T-that's ok, your mason adams aren't you?"

"Yes, oh, and...I think your dads...umm."

"What? what! no no! it can't be!"

I ran up to my mum.

"Is he?"

"Y-yes, he is."

"Oh my god..."

After a while, we were taken to the hospital to check if we had any injures.

I can't believe my dads dead!

I just can't believe it.

It's been about two hours, and I'm tired, but I can't sleep.

"Hey kayla, how ya feelin?"

"Mason?"

'Yer, my dads talking to your mum about house arrangements, your gonna be stuck with me for awhile."

"What?"

"Do I really have to say that again?"

"No, I heard you the first time."

"Kayla, mason, lets go!"

"Ok mum, be there in a sec."

Great...

I lost my dad...

I lost my house...

My childhood...

And now I'm living with the hottest guy in school.

Just fucken great.
