Kayla's POV

It's been two days since my surgery. my foot hurts like hell still. I literally have pins in my foot.

Mason has been by my side in the hospital.

He really needs a shower.

"Morning kayla."

"Morning mason."

"You get to go home today."

"Finally. and so do you,"

"Umm, what does that mean?"

"I'm sorry, but you really need a shower. it's been four days."

"Stalker."

"No I'm not a stalker, you've been by my side for these past few days so yer..."

I am so not a stalker! why would he? i just don't get boys at all, well, even though I only have boys as friends.

"Yer I know I'm just joking with ya."

"Well don't."

"Ok."

Knock knock

My mum came in and said we could get going. shit. how long did we sleep in. I was meant to be leaving at 10:35am.

I turned to mason who was looking at his phone.

"Shit kayla. it's 10:34. we slept in big time this time."

"Wow. well I guess we needed it huh?"

"Yep."

I stood up from my hospital bed and grabbed my crutches. I could walk just a bit, but anytime I try mason lifts me up to stop me from walking.

"Mason sweetie," my mum started. "do you mind waiting outside while kayla gets dressed.

"Sure mrs vetella."

"Hey mum? can you wait outside as well. ill be fine."

"Ok honey."

Mason and my mum both walked outside of my room to give me some privacy. I needed some time alone. I haven't had any alone time for a while. it gets annoying with so many people around, talking, stinking and overall just being near me.

I got dressed in my black leggings, a overly large jacket which I think was my dads because it smells like him and ugg boots.

I grabbed all of my things and slowly made my way towards the door. when my phone rung.

Private number. I still answered it. it could be important.

"Kayla vetella speaking who's this?"

"You better watch your back young kookabarra. you might just fall and hurt yourself."

"What? who are you and what do you mean by th-"

Oh my god!

"Wait. are you the on who pushed me down the stairs?"

"Riddles and puzzles I like to play. now i have to go so have a good day."

Then the phone went dead.

What the hell?!

Who was that!? And what does he want?!

Well there goes my alone time.

Ohhh, spooky! aha, things will get interesting now. I will be doing riddles in every second chapter. and the first to figure it out get a shout out.
