You crouched under the playground equipment with your friends. "Let's play truth or DAAARE!" Maria sang out. There came a chorus of "yeahs!" and "sures." You sat near George and Martha, you were in between them. EVERYONE in fifth grade (except George) knew that Martha had the biggest crush on him. She looked quite fizzled at the sight of you sitting next to George. "Ok, I'm first.  Alexander, truth or dare?" Maria said, making everyone quiet. "One second," he said, shifting to sit cross cross on his butt, " ok, dare." He said. You could feel the uncertainty boil around him. "KISS MEEE" she said, sounding like a teacher aggravated at the sight of her students ruining her new SmartBoard. Everyone stopped and stared at her. "sorry." She then motioned at Alex to come closer and people continued their quiet chit chatter under the playground equipment. Alex quickly kissed Maria on the cheek and backed away, crawling on his knees because of the tight space. John hit him playfully on his upper arm. His eyes were a little sad. Perhaps? No, no. Anyways, it was Alexander's turn to dare the person next to him, John. "I dare you to lick.... JOHN ADAMS!" Everyone made their ick faces. John got out from underneath the playground equipment, stopped John Adams' game that he was playing (war) and licked his hand quickly and dove under the playground equipment. He spat behind him and covered it up with rubber chips. "Disgusting! But, it's my tuuurn! GEORGE," he pointed to George,"I dare you to.. kiss the person on your left. (Y/n)!" Martha was really angry now. "BUT WHY HER/HIM?!" She complained.  "(Y/n), are you okay with that?" George asked. "I guess... I mean, its truth or dare. We kinda hafta. NO ONE disobeys the rules of ToD." You said, placing your hand on your heart. Everyone murmured, from what you heard, everyone agreed. "Okay, now kiss!!" John exclaimed. You leaned in and kissed him on the lips. You heard gasps. You backed away and blushed. "ON THE LIPS?!" Angelica asked in astonishment. "ON THE LIPS." Eliza confirmed. George was blushing as well. Martha ran away fuming. Everyone laughed and/or giggled. That afternoon was probably the most romantic it has ever been for any fifth grader. Ever.
